@@cooguy123: George should have just accepted that his mother was the way she was, and made peace with it. I KNOW how that feels. My mother has NEVER said the words "I love you," to me. That was very difficult to live with, especially since I developed a learning disability because she dropped me on my head as an infant, and caused me to have hydrocephalus. As an adult, I cannot hold down a job and have to collect SSDI & SSI. Totally.... humilating.!! I have to PRAY very often specifically to not be consumed with utter disdain for her, so I know what it means to NOT expect encouragement from the only parent I have had.
