Palpatine didn’t actually stop the fight Anakin just momentarily chose to stop because he got the upper hand and probably wanted to gloat for a second instead of killing him instantly.

It is interesting to consider, grievous only died bc he was caught off guard by obi-wan bc palpatine snitched on him, he can literally prolong an entire war just to buy more time for his new apprentice to mature and grow in power, maul was captured by ahsoka so I wonder what would have ended up happening to him when brought to coruscant, and then padmé and Anakin's potential future, I think someone should totally do a take on this turn of events maybe even in a cool animation or comic

Palpatine would have either had him freed or killed. Most likely killed. You can't have Maul Snitching On Palpatine while in custody.

I can see a scenario where if Dooku beats Anakin, Kenobi still kills Grievous. But Maul is put into Grievous' place as commander of the Droid Army. Dooku and Maul may have an antagonistic relationship at first, but Dooku proves his superiority with the lightsaber to Maul, and Maul divulges the real Sith Grand Plan. They work together to turn on Sidious. Im not sure how things work after that, but I'd be very interested in seeing that done as a fan fiction!

Doubtful. Remember Palps only said Anakin would get away, he never said anything about Kenobi and he told Anakin to leave him behind. In the scenario where Dooku won he would not want to kill Obi-Wan but he would if for no other reason than Palps demanding it to prove his loyalty and because he knew it would bring Anakin closer to the dark side. Which really would just send Anakin onto the dark path even more being told that he survived while Obi-Wan, his brother in arms died. He'd be racked with survivor's guilt and he would just be a mess. The light might however be in his children being born because he'd never have the nightmares of Padme dying in childbirth as well as in Ahsoka coming back.

I think Ventress would've been made the new General of the Droid Army, if she was still with the Separatists at that point. Otherwise, maybe another of Dooku's dark jedi disciples. I don't think Sidious would've trusted Maul at all by that point.

If i'm not wrong, in the book "Labyrinth of evil" by James Luceno, Palpatine tells the exact same thing that Lucas said and even instructed Dooku to kill Obi-Wan to convert Anakin

I think that was in the novelisation of Revenge of the Sith by Matthew Stover, but Labryrinth contains hints towards it, as well as explaining why Sidious had the Separatists suddenly Coruscant. The jedi were getting very close to unmasking Sidious. I don't think Palpatine could have continued the deception for much longer. There's a great line in the ROTS novel from Mace well he tells Obi-Wan that the only reason Palpatine is not a suspect for the identity of Darth Sidious is because he already effectively wields absolute power.

Honestly, it's a shame we never got this in the final version. Even as a deleted scene. George was honestly a master of his craft and how he wove the narrative together and it's incredible when you look at it and see how cohesive it was. I can understand why George didn't put this in, due to time restraints but it perfectly depicts why Dooku had the absolute look of shock and horror on his face when Palpatine told Anakin to kill Dooku. Further hammering home Palpatine's sadistic plan, when he said "Dew it!". Maul and Dooku were nothing but pawns to Palpatine. Palpatine ALWAYS wanted Anakin. Right from the very moment at the end of The Phantom Menace when Palpatine is talking to both Obi-Wan and Anakin (Jake Lloyd); "We are indebted to you for your bravery, Obi-Wan Kenobi. And you, young Skywalker. We will watch your career with great interest." Would I watch a 4 hr+ of Revenge of the Sith? Hell yeah, I would! I mean, who wouldn't?!

Dave Filoni said in an interview with IGN that when Anakin and Dooku fight in TCW during the episode when Obi-wan goes under cover as a bounty hunter, that it was meant to be Palpatine's first attempt to get Anakin to kill Dooku. Of course there he was able to fight Anakin off, which is why he tried again during the beginning of RotS.

I find this type of content so interesting, and pondering some what if scenarios. Palpatine was truly written as one of the most nefarious villains ever. If you've watched the original two trilogies, The Clone wars, and perhaps also read some of the comics pre-Disney, the way the character was developed to be such a subtle, calculating tactitian all through the timeline. It's fascinating to see how in several instances when something went awry, he was still able to make it work to his advantage for his overall schemes.

You're assuming that Sidious lied about one part of the story, but not the other... How do we know that he would have stopped the fight if Anakin had lost? I think he would have let Dooku kill Anakin for being weak, and moved on with another MORE POWERFUL option.

This is very interesting! Very interesting! I like this. I agree,Clone Wars would last few more years,Luke and Leia would be born. I think the Jedi would took them to train them,but I think Anakin wouldn't allow them. He saw them as corrupt and dogmatic for few years now. He would leave with Padme and train the children. I don't think Obi-Wan would leave the Council,he would stay. He would visit Padme and Anakin,maybe he would show Luke and Leia something more,new instructions,how to use the Force. Yoda would disapprove, he wouldn't like it. But I think he wouldn't do anything. He would run the Jedi,train the,he would deal with Republic and Senate as he know. I think Maul would return,but in what capacity. Ahsoka would appear sometimes too. She would discuss with Anakin and Obi-wan what is happening. She would show Leia and Luke something. She would talk with Padme,they were became even closer,better friends. All three were. Palpatine would wait,like always. This would last for few years,all this. May the Force be with you,always😊

Like this so Theory will see. I think a good thing to add in Vader Episode 2 would be Mace using purple Force Lightning on Vader. It would make sense because Mace would use his Shatterpoint ability to see a weakness in Vader’s suit and realize it’s vulnerable to Force Lightning. Mace would then use his dark emotions to conjure purple Force Lightning and win the duel with little difficulty. Please include this in the episode. It would be so cool.

I think every Sith or Jedi had a real good strength in some thing. Palpatine was good at placing himself somewhere high on both sides of warring, factions tricking them into fighting and whichever side one Palpatine would get some, whether it would be moving up in a rank, money, fame, a powerful group or ally. He would keep doing this with almost everything even here between Anakin and Dooku. So Palpatine would never lose because he was on both sides he would always win on the side which won a lot of times the prize would be something different on each side, but nevertheless, he would win something big, very cunning !

With another few years, Anakin’s power would’ve quadrupled, twofold. Seriously though, this scenario played out in the original trilogy too, only instead of Dooku vs Anakin, it was with Vader vs Luke. Palpatine needed to turn Anakin before he could be a threat to himself (Palpatine). As is, Anakin had already believed himself to be more powerful than Palpatine.
