I always thought Dooku's character deserved much more than the quick defeat/death that was given to him in Revenge of the Sith. He seemed very underrated in my opinion. He could've been given a somewhat longer role and also a chance at redemption. After losing his hands Anakin could've just left him to his fate on the ship, but have him survive and make it to Coruscant by some means. He would then go into hiding for a while and get a couple of prosthetic hands. As the film progressed it would've been interesting for Dooku to challenge Anakin/Darth Vader one final time at the Jedi Temple in an attempt to save the younglings. Though Dooku's heroic act would fail and he would be killed just as easily as before, he would've died much more honorably.

Sifo Dyas sabotaged order 66 and stopped Sidious from executing it? What if... Dooku refused to kill Sifo Dyas and came to his senses? What if... The Clone Wars lasted for 20 years instead of 5?
