@legacy41795 жыл бұрын
@@Pulse87dotca There are three primary reasons straight women peruse gay men. First: Gay men are non-threatening/safe. Second: Gay males commonly have finer tastes in clothes/shoes/interior decor/food-- and just about everything else-- over the abilities of most females. Third, and most intriguing: Gay males present a sexual challenge for straight females (especially females who perceive themselves as being "ALL THAT AND A BAG OF VEGAN BBQ CHIPS." These are the females who seem to be under some misguided and delusional impression that they can turn gay guys straight with their "special, one-of-kind" vaginae.
@Pulse87dotca5 жыл бұрын
@@legacy4179 Hmm, I guess my initial comment pointing out to the O/P that G.M. is gay was so offensive that someone reported it and YT removed it. . . . speech police are at it again. Your 3rd reason makes a lot of sense, as there are women who will instantly go for the "troubled bad boy" with the aim to "fix him", but they usually end up going through a series of unhappy relationships with a long string of "bad boys" who simply don't want to be "fixed".

He portrayed himself as a straight man / sex symbol until he was busted for soliciting sex in a public bathroom (1998). As a fan, it didn’t feel good to be lied to for nearly two decades; he brought a lot of the critiques upon himself because of it. Thanks for the compliment. The relationship with The Brits & Americans in terms of Collaborating still exists. In fact did you know that Choreographer Fatima Robinson who worked on Dreamgirls (Film Version) not to mention The Live Performance of The Wiz (National Broadcasting Company) also worked with Cheryl Tweedy, former Member Of Girls Aloud who did the Choreography for her Solo Concert

That was the time when he conquered the world as a solo artist. Gorgeous and sexy, heavenly voice, perfect dancer, an exceptional talent in writing and producing his own songs. He was talented enough to obtain absolute fame - and then philosophical enough to turn his back on it. This is the amazing George.

***** I'm so inclined to agree - there was definitely some interesting evolution in popular music from the 80s through the 90s and even into the early-mid 2000s with some innovative musicians and technology - however, I think for the better part of a decade now, there hasn't been much new that is really noteworthy at all. I'm not sure if it's "It's all been done" syndrome or "everybody with a laptop"...and a lack of investment by the industry..
@neroma9 жыл бұрын
+David G You are absolutely right - "It's all been done" well said.
@MilkAndCornbreadd8 жыл бұрын
+David G I'm going to add to this scenario since I used to be in the Music Industry back in the early 1990's when I was in my early 20's. In my experiences and opinion, I think the record labels today do not take the chances that they did back in the 1970's, 1980's, and on into the very early 2000's. I feel that the 1980's was the revolution of the music industry and definitely the music culture of those days changed as each year went by. Listen to a Pop song of let's say - 1983, and then listen to this Pop song of 1988. There is a huge evolutionary (or revolutionary; whichever fits the best) difference in the instrumentation, the charting, the melodies, and the daring lyrics used, especially in some of the iconic artists such as George Michael, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Boy George, etc. The pivotal axis of the history of music now revolves around this particular decade (1980's). We live it, breathe it, repeat it (if all possible), and it molds a lot of lives in so many different aspects. That's my two cents worth. :-)
@davidg64378 жыл бұрын
***** So much of that evolution over those years, specifically, that you describe has so much to do with technological evolution too.... the birth of digial and PCM sample-based synthesis (and samplers _themselves_ hence NWA and hip-hop itself during that same timeframe...) vs the analog synthesizers used from the days of Pink Floyd and the Doors in through the New Wave of the early 80s... When I bought one of those modules above I had a blast finding the specific drums and sounds used on those records specifically.. Like Milli Vanillis "Girl you know it's true" is Korg's preset "Orchestra Hits"... As far as I'm aware, Kurzweil was the first in this technology development though with his development of the PCM synthesis board in collaboration with Stevie Wonder and appearing in the video "Part Time Lover" 1984/5(??).. Chaka Khan's "I feel for you" . --. wow, was that a breakthrough in it's day!! Now, all of the interesting sonic innovation is on the front of sequencing computer processing effects themsleves from the sounds of Skrillex to the atmospheric super ducking/pump-compression of Purity Ring...
@MilkAndCornbreadd8 жыл бұрын
David G The technology is a major key in the music evolution. I think, too, that too many artists rely on computers to enhance their sound, and quality, along with vocals, etc. I do think, though, that the only music these days that has a slight evolutionary sound is underground Electronic Music (Bear In Heaven, Animal Collective, Goldfrapp, Depeche Mode, etc).

The great thing his music (and all music really) is how it may make you feel, or interpret it at different periods in your life. Father Figure today means something completely different than it did 30 years ago. I also preferred his pop tracks like this back then, but love his slower ballads now. You'll find out as you go along..=)

Same I found out about George a year after he died back in march 2018. It started when I first heard "Everything She Wants" on the radio, the more I heard that song come on, I just thought it was really catchy and before I knew it, it became one of favorite songs, I love other songs of George Michael, Wham songs like "Wake me up before you go go" and "Freedom" "Wham Rap" "Last Christmas" and "Freedom 90! "Father Figure" and as now, this one. He was really talented with an amazing voice, one of the best male voices I've ever heard, too bad I didn't discover his music when he was alive. Maybe you've probably heard his music when you were a child but you never knew it was him. Who knows? 😂😂😂
