December 25th will always be the day George Michael forgot to wake us up to tell us, in a single, careless whisper, that he had to go go. We'll remember him through his beautiful songs that made the '80s and still help us on our way from the living room to the bedroom so we never need one more try. George, through many flawless December songs to come, have faith that we will never let the sun go down on you, whether you became a cowboy or an angel. Please heal our pain, as you go through the white light to become a star.

Remember this phone in. He seemed unbelievably humble for such a superstar. I have a manual license and atm have an automatic slk320 and its terrible!!! The fuel wastage is on another level and the gearbox is so slow to change up. My next car will 100% be another manual.

You have better control of the car with a manual, you can slow the car down through the gears as a type of brake. Also, you can get better acceleration in some cases.

An American ex-colleague of mine always used to be confused as to why us Brits drove manual cars. As someone with back problems, my company cars had auto boxes, I had about 10 or so on the trot. I also had one back in the late 80’s, they’re night and day better than those. Our family car has an auto box, it’s smooth, quick and quiet, we love it and will get an auto next too, my advice would be to get one with a 2.0 engine

7 years later: journalists in general are callous, heartless people who have no respect for anyone or anything. TV people are just as bad: shining a bright spotlight on Robert Kennedy as he lay dying in the kitchen of the hotel in 1968, while his 12 year old son watched . He OD'd in 1984 aged 26. To say nothing about the press going after Diana's brother when he dared to criticize them.

0:45 'Not man enough for a manual' - Nowadays, you wouldn't even see that title on TV due to fears of it not being politically correct. Crazy.

Nothing wrong with learning or driving an automatic car. I'm 24, learning in an automatic and can't see the problem with it. Why waste time with a clutch and constantly changing gears when you don't need too? =)

if you learn on an automatic car means you can't drive a manual gear car. if you learn on a manual geared car, then you can drive an automatic - much better option in my opinion - I drive both

George swearing on daytime tv is so excusable as demonstrated by how quickly Matthew Wright skirts over it . They did get an appology out of Matthew on George's behalf if George didn't appologise himself but I think you were watching the wrong show if you're genuinely offended by that. Switch over and watch Jerremy Kyle if you don't like it.

I drive a manual transmission. I love them and if I have a choice, I won't drive an automatic. Automatic's are boring. Manual's are fun. Jamming those gears at a high, (but not high rate of speed) is fun..... I drove around some gentlemen friends when their cars broke down on them, and they couldn't believe I could drive a manual. 5 speed in the floor. Awsome!!!!!!! Sorry George hon. You don't know what you were missing.
