Me: Huh, the Zipper, a super speedy villain, eh? What's his villainous deed today? Pickpocket everyone at City Hall, steal all the priceless paintings from the local museum, or kidnap someone for ransom, all the while doing it at a blinding speed? The Zipper: I'm going to use this bomb to blow up the world! Me: ...I think we might be skipping a few steps, but I like his "go big, or go home" attitude.

I wonder if Sergio Aragones grew with these cartoons, since the style kind of resembles his art, especially Groo the Wanderer.

I’d forgotten all about Tom Slick. What cracks me up is how the evil (German) Baron was such a universal theme is so many shows and movies back then. Off the top of my head the movie The Great Race with Jack Lemmon and Peter Falk as the villains as well as Lancelot Link Secret Chimp which is hilarious! Just Get Smart but with chimpanzees. Wonderful stuff! I actually own the vinyl album Lancelot Link and the Evolution Revolution. Basic bubblegum pop from that era which I love!

I never missed them, even in the 90’s in 40’s. They could have saved them. They needed to get the FCC to allow 5 mins of educational programs in every half hour. So they could keep the shows at 20 mins. The FCC killed them by cutting down how many commercials they could have. So they needed more cartoons with less ad money. That’s why the Commercials were made so entertaining because they had 10 mins per half hour.

Should have tried looking it up. Man's name was Bill Scott. Maybe Blanc was inspired by Scott. They weren't identical but very similar, as I said.
