My favorite gag in Jay Ward cartoons is when the main characters are completely disinterested in the plot and forget each other's names. Dudley Dooright does this a lot too.

George of the Jungle: "Are you mad?" "No but I'm getting there." Wow these jokes were so funny and clever! Super Chicken: I feel there was a real missed opportunity for an "addressing the elephant in the room" joke. Tom Slick: I almost wish there were more episodes/shows on train racing.

"The Man From Mbwebwe" is a nod to a real spy drama titled "The Man From U.N.C.L.E.", which was in its last season when "George of the Jungle" went on the air. The drama went off the air in January of 1968 and was replaced by "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In".

I love the Southern accent Daws Butler gave for Ernest Confab! Joe Barbera recalled telling Butler he wanted a Southern accent for Huckleberry Hound. Before Barbera could stop him, Butler gave at least a dozen different Southern accents!
