This was a public event at the Packard Campus theater of the Library of Congress where AFI founder, George Stevens Jr. was invited to introduce a program of clips (kind of a best of) highlighting the Kennedy Center Honors. No clips are shown in this video... just the introduction and the intermission intro. Mr. Stevens is a warm and wonderful individual who recently wrote his autobiography of his life in Hollywood making films with his famous father (Shane, Giant, etc.) and his work in Washington DC. including starting the American Film Institute and suggesting the Kennedy Center Honors whose TV program he produced for over 30 years.
