Awesome bag, you have gotten me addicted to the highViz linings, and that’s what draws me to new bags. I like the design of your bag and wished it was in production. I don’t know if I can design my own custom bag, but if I do I will use your reviews to get it perfect. Thanks George Defined.

Nice work! Buying a new bag I always think of my favorite aspects of my others. I love the inner pocket “mesh” of the vertx ready pack. I also can’t own a bag without water bottle pockets. Keep doing what you’re doing. I seriously can’t wait for your line of bags in the future. I know you’ll get there

Nice bag, Bro-ham. That's cool that they let you design a bag the way you wanted. I'm surprised you didn't put a grab handle on the side of the bag to help with stowing and retrieving the bag from a overhead airplane bin or in the whip. I hope you have many days of enjoyment with it. Thanks for sharing. One.

I’ve never heard of this brand. I totally dig the idea here. $500 is a steep price, but I think there’s something to say about the customization aspect. I’d be willing to pay more for bags if I had control over the layout and materials. By the way, the lining is outrageous. If you look up high viz lining on the interwebs, you might find a picture of this bag. Great work and thanks for sharing your experience with Azo. I hope more companies take this approach in the future. Congrats on your first collab (kind of)!

I'd love this bag to be the benchmark for all future bag reviews. Like it's to the side on the table and you compare any other bag to it. So we can get used to the size of new bags you pick up.

I am such a sucker for a good high-viz liner and this has me drooling. Looks big for 25L. It is like the Peak Design Travel Bag and the Evergoods CPL had a baby. That’s not a complaint, I love both.

Azo bags are definitely high end quality. You get what you pay, and I can say the same on your bag as well, George. Dope customization with good features, however agree on the compresation straps situation. It definitely had a place in this Dejen. Nevertheless thanks for showing people different bag creators than as per normal - well appreciated. Wish you could check and say a few words on my custom bag from Azo.

You bought this bag at the right time George. I started working with Azo in May and just finally got my bag yesterday. Just about 9 months with all their delays in communication (months without response) and fabrication (4 months to build my Dejen). Bag came bag with so many issues out of spec. and sloppy craftsmanship on my $600 build. When I confronted them, they just rationalized why they made poor decisions on my behalf (without consulting me first) and called me a liar. New customers should be cautious in wasting their precious time and money on such a business. The Carrology group has a few reports of similar issues and the founder/team has been aggressive and combative. Looks like I will be adding one more negative experience to the list. Review forthcoming shortly....

Thank You for this Great review. I didn't know the company and that's awesome to know that you can get a backpack customized that way, and get the bag we all dream about. Some of the features made me think about the latest Daily Deploy 48 Pack from 5.11. It doesn't have the sleek and clean look your bag have, but some features are there.

Very nice job on the design Geo. I have a Tom Bihn Brain Bag and it’s a biggie but the compression straps help a lot so f you do want to add them just go to a good cobbler / leather worker and they will add them on for you in any materials you choose. Best of luck with the pack and I look forward to your long term review. ✌️

reeeeally nice review !! finally a good opinion in english hahaha. was looking at them quite a while ago but the price definitely put me off in the end. i gotta say i am a little surprised by your price with the rather little changes you made besides the material of course. Did you get a full list with what cost how much ? would be really interesting in seeing a more detailed overview like the front pocket for example. The way you designed the bag is really the way i would go and steal good ideas from other bags hahah. Why didnt you want waterbottle pockets like bellroy does on their transit packs or evergoods on their chz ? they are more low profile.

Based on the amount of work that went into this, would you go through the process again for building a bag (either from scratch or a V2 of this specific bag)? I really want to buy this one from you but dropping that money right now when I should use it for responsible things is hard to justify.
@GeorgeDEFINED3 жыл бұрын
For me I probably won't do another custom bag in the near future. I understand about the money. I paid close to $450 for this one.

@@GeorgeDEFINED thanks for the response. Yeah, I have been a fan of Recycled Firefighter for more than 5 years now and own quite a bit of their EDC stuff...I have a few bags and am considering selling them...if I can get close to the amount I need, I'll email you about this and hope it is still available (this is really the bag I wish RF would make)...otherwise good luck selling all of them and can't wait for future content!
