This reminds me of the film 'Lost In Translation' where Bill Murray is shooting a commercial for a Japanese whiskey and the Japanese director is rambling on and on and finally stops and the interpreter says to Murray 'He wants you to turn and face the camera' and Murray says 'Is that everything, it sounded like he said a lot more'. Yes that's why he didn't want to tour anymore. Clapton had to do his best to make George as comfortable as possible. I heard by the end of the tour George and Eric's relationship was a bit strained.
