This song, and the singer, have always been part of life, from the days of 'Uncle Mac' on Saturday morning BBC radio to now. In the 1950s it was the first verse and chorus which one noticed and was moved by, now it is the last - there is so much more to this song, and Nancy Wilson's singing of it, than one ever knew back then.

My dad, ChicThompson, brought Nancy Whiskey from the UK to the us. Recorded on his own label, "Frieght Train" was the only Chic Thomoson label, hit the Billboard Charts as #50, the label's only song to hit Billboard.
