Good to see the old TW back in action again George. I can never quite understand why Ford stopped making tractors.

You should have put one of the release bolts back in the rim to hold the wedge back. Then just put a tapered shim in on the other one to keep it out.

Try a dab of your good ladies coloured nail varnish on bolt and hub to show any loosening of bolts. Good to see your pride and joy back on 4 legs.

Great video again George. Always wondered how those "big tractor" stub axle wheel fittings worked. Always looked like it would slip in the wheel centre! Now I know! 👌👍

Great to see it fixed, no worries if it takes some time fixing ut, the important thing is to fix it and make it right the first time :)

Often wandered how the wheels are attached. Interesting video George be great to see her back in action along with the TW30. If you need a camera man on that occasion I'm free...😂

Great video George, must be nice to have mates like Darren - you couldn’t have done a job like that without assistance. As for the wedges holding the back wheels on it dates back to the old Standard Fordson tractor although they were not split wedges.

Monster the mighty TW you can't beat it George no doubt about it..... Keep her out on the yard ready for action no doubt about it she is way better than the Fastrack always will be!!!!!!!

Good work George , thats a heavy old wheel, thanks to Darren for his top skills, i was thinking about your repairs , i was lucky as i could call the mobile mechanic ,but that costs a lot in 2023 as do vets. loving the channel and looking forward to the Fastrac coming home..😀

Darren is not only a fine mechanic but also a good friend as well. It was clear he enjoyed helping his friend George. The Mucker & Fud Weasel relationship is a bit more cantankerous, or so it appears on camera.

Glad to see it all back together and working finally. Anyone know the technical reason for using the wedge lock system over a traditional hub flange with nuts or bolts, other than adjustable track width?

Glad you have the old girl up and running again George. If you ever have to take the wheel off again, maybe use a silage bale handler (the two roller type) at least you can rotate the wheel 👍

I'm not sure if it's a channel you watch George, but.. If you want to see what can go wrong with them type of wheels have a look for a channel called Farming Fixing & Fabricating, Andy who runs the channel recently put a video up of him nearly losing a wheel off that type of hub...

Fordson N had cone fixed wheels, so guess if it was good enough for them, why change it... .

GeorgebYou should check out @Boehm Farm for some occasional Ford TW25 action (chisel ploughing this week). Interesting character with dry sense of humour.
