NEVER TRUST A STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER

You may have heard people say that you should never trust a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
This video gives a true insight into what life can be like with a Staffordshire Bull Terrier if brought up correctly. Unfortunately the Stafford often receives bad press which is due to irresponsible owners and not the breed.
Staffordshire Bull Terrier's are great with children and statistically are one of only two named breeds by the Kennel Club UK for this trait, hence earning the popular nickname of 'nanny dog'.. The breed was also named in fourth place accordingly to ITV's 'Britain's Favourite Dogs: Top 100'.
George the Staffordshire Bull Terrier featured in this video lives with his Mum & Dad in a small town in Lancashire, UK. George is a great fun loving and helpful character around the home and assists his Mum with day to day living since she started suffering with mobility issues in 2017.
He now has a following of adoring fans across social media and has set out to combat the unfair stigma created by the media and people who, for whatever reason, hold the wrong impression in regards to this beautiful intelligent breed.

one summer afternoon while working in my front yard a beautiful blue came walking up to me, easy to see she was in need of a drink so I went to get her a bowl from inside.....apparently she didn't realize that I was bringing it back outside following me in as if we were old friends, tapping me with her tail as she walked beside me.....so who am I to refuse such an offer by a beautiful girl.....nobody, that's who. Introduced her to the rest of the family and she became an instant hit...….looked for her family to no avail for several months and decided to keep her....she has been an excellent family member and somewhat of a best friend to my beagle who has seizures, letting us know when he starts having one with a special little come here bark......one of the sweetest animals I have ever had.

He was born in 1920 and recalled that as a child he would see nannies pushing a baby in a pram always accompanied by a staffy. Hence the soubriquette nanny dog. The staffy I owned in the 80s was a hero. I was once attacked by two German shepherds dogs. They were both dispatched good style. I miss him.

We knew both parents,and we have not had a second worry about our brother and sister staffies,our postie calls for our dogs if they are not out in the garden ,and wants to see them,he said not even in the top 100 of dogs that go after them. They are very loving,calm happy dogs ,that are in love with their owners,we can take them anywhere! Both are therapy dogs! You can take anything of them,even food In their mouths, You are living in the past mate, no dog is born bad,stupid dicks heads think they look hard having a staffie,they don't! ,Dogs are taught and allowed to do the wrong things because their owners shouldnt be in charge of a goldfish. me and my familly have had staffs for years there biggest problem is that they love people so much and are very good around children ,when they get bad press its down to the human they love teaching them bad habits being aggressive towards people is not in there nature ,the scum that treat these trusting little buddies badly should be banned from owning them again, please consider a rescue staff before buying your next pup as there are a lot that need homes.

my staffie called poppy is like my Siamese twin she is awesome she has a million tons of love that she shares with everyone she gives me more love than ive ever felt and she is my reason to get up every morning she will lick my top lip to get me up sooner but its a small price to pay for a dog that keeps all her toys in her bed there are lots of half chewed up trophy toys and she even puts them away after playing with them ,i didnt even do that growing up and before you start thinking there wont be room for her she sleeps in my double bed and takes up three quarters of it but i love her to bits

Our Bella (my daughters really, but she moved back home so...) Our Bella will be 3 in May (2019) and she is the most intelligent animal I have ever met in all my 51 years. STEPHANIE MOORE you are a Good, Kind, considerate person. When you get your “Pit” or Staffy, make sure that you socialise them from the beginnings of puppyhood... ie right after they’ve had all the vaccinations. And start training them with positive reinforcement at the same time. YOU have to be in charge of your dog, it must obey and defer to you... this makes them feel safe, secure and happy. Walk him or her everyday, with him or her At your side, or slightly behind you. If you do these basic things you’ll have a wonderful companion that will be a joy to be around, be safe around people, and other dogs, and be a great ambassador for the breed. Sadly the Staffy, & other “Pitbull Type” dog have got a terrible reputation in the ignorant press, mainly due to dick-heads & bitches who don’t look after, train or control their dogs properly. These are breeds that want to please their owners more than anything... if they detect “my owner wants me to be aggressive”, that’s what they’ll do. Sorry if I preaching to to the converted and informed. I wish you all the luck, love, and companionship that I’ve had from my six Staffys, (I’m on the third pair now, the others were with me from cradle to grave). Good luck, & try and get a pure bred, we need to maintain the breeds & we need good, responsible owners. 🇦🇺👍🐕😇❤️

My little Staffy is crossed with a Patterdale and she can be really hyper/wappy some times, practically running up the walls😂. But other times she just wants to chill and have a cuddle. Couldn't ask for a more loving and beautiful animal.

I have a pit and her daughter whos half staffy. You can tell mom is far more alert and standoffish, while the pup (2.4 years old) is derpy as fuck. All but one of the pups have taken on staffy personalities. Super fun, zero aggression, awesome with kids. Not to say that my pit is any more dangerous, but she is way more "serious". Anyway they are fucking awesome dogs. I dont think i would ever get a different breed, unless i adopt a stray.

Just a friendly sock warning my gaia loves socks too, she always finds away but one day she had a sock get stuck in her blocking everything and over 2000 dollars later she had surgery and was fixed and I make sure all socks are hidden because that was one of the worst weeks of my life. I thought my best friend was going to die. 110 lbs later she’s still kicking and being a pain in my ass.

thats true of most dog breeds, its the ppl who own and train them who shape them. I say most because some dogs do get more aggressive tendencies due to anxiety and other medical issues. Some dogs are just not given a chance. I've been attacked by more Chihuahuas and Foxies then I have big dogs - never been attacked by a gig dog!
