Great 3MB!! I like to watch the episode throughout the week so I can enjoy it bit by bit. I'm here on my patio Saturday night listening and grilling some burgers and hotdogs, shave talk and smelling some good meat you can't go wrong! Hope you have a great weekend! 💈

Howdy, Mark! PAA The Cube 2.0 is the bomb! Trust me when I say I have tried a LOT of preshaves but nothing compares to The Cube. Be sure to leave The Cube on your face and mix your shave lather into it for a super lather! You mentioned using it as a degreaser but I prefer to wash my face with a glycerin soap first, rinse, and then apply The Cube.
@MarkSzorady4 ай бұрын
Stan, thanks for confirming.:)Ineed to do a face lather with it. I used to, but haven't in quite some time. Thanks for the reminder. :)

Great MMMb again. Thanks for sharing my tip on the bowl from Target. All the soaps sound great. Just wish I had the room to store them and the budget to try them all. After using alum, I usually clean up my shaving gear then rinse off the alum. That is what works for me YMMV. Also love the coffee mug. My wife and I are big fans of Peanuts, especially Snoopy. Have a great week. 👍

Happy Independence Day!!! Great pre-4th MMMB. Coincidently, I have that same Rex Supply Co. T-shirt as I was the Razor Emporium Weekly T-Shirt winner 3 or 4 weeks ago. Cold-water menthol shaves are always refreshing...especially in the summer! Alum and witch hazel are the best astringents and antiseptics to keep my skin healthy. And balm is a great moisturizer to avoid post-shave dryness. Enjoy the fireworks on Thursday!

I’m so glad you liked the mug and had a chance to meet Charles Schulz. You know I’ve met a lot of famous people over the years, sadly Charles Schulz was not one of them. I’ve loved Peanuts all my life, so it would have been a real thrill. Cold water shaves all year long!! If you think it’s invigorating in the Summer, wait until you do one in the Winter!! :) Old Salty is an all-year scent. Great in the Summer to be sure, but really works every month. It’s always a Bright, Clean scent. PAA Cube 2.0 is used in every shave I do. The only exception might be if I’m doing a review of shave soap, so I can evaluate the soap as a stand-alone product. But I’ll also do the test using the Cube as that’s my SOP. Just as with the Cube. The Alum block is the finish of every shave. I use the PAA Alum block in my den and have the travel solid in my travel shave kit. More Great reviews by Mark Bagwell and the others. Those are great ways to find new soaps to try. I just love how many fellow wet shavers here take the time and make the effort to help us all. Please never stop ending the show with ‘The Laugh’ and the ‘Find the Difference’ cartoons. I really look forward to them each Monday. MMMB- the best start to a Monday morning.

Jimi, again thank you SO much for a really awesome and delightful coffee mug! It connects the dots in so many ways! It was really neat meeting Charles Schulz and having a few moments, over the years, to speak to him. I'm grateful to the NCS for giving me the opportunity to meet many, many wonderful, talented cartoonists. Cold water shaves in the winter? Oh, boy! You're a better man than I. But okay, I'll give it a go.:) It'll be an interesting changeup.:) The Cube 2.0 is a staple as is the alum block.:) Funnily, I find myself using the no-slip grip less and less. It might be due to the block simply wearing down.:) This mightmake an interesting topic for an upcoming 3MB.:) Grip or no grip? So glad you enjoy the George comic strip and Double Take cartoons at the endo f each show. I plan to keep them there! Credit to my brother Tom for the idea!:)

The Leaf for me (using Wizamets in all three slots) I use Nivea Sensitive Calm Shaving Cream (green bottle black pump), I Headshave in the shower. 1.5 pumps of product applied with hands, and that’s all. Hopefully you get Better results than that last shave. (I’ve tried thicker lather, but for headshave, just prefer thin🤷🏼♂️. YMMV🙏🏼

Can the Collette Classic CC1 formula soap be easily removed from its container as a puck? We see in the video a picture of a puck next to a bowl of lather with a brush, while you were discussing hat 'cherry nut' sample of their cc1 soap.

Re The Cube 2.0 It's an excellent face wash for skin prep. It leaves the skin feeling slicker than regular bar soap. That's the glycerin hard at work. The Cube 2.0 will work on its own as a shave stick. Just rub it on and have it it with a brush. Seriously. I'm not kidding. As a pre-shave it's also very effective. Effectiveness will vary with the soap used after application. It will also vary from soap to soap with lather technique, i.e face lather on top of The Cube vs bowl lathering and just applying the resultant lather on top of The Cube. There is no wrong or right way to use The Cube. Play with it and see what works for you. I prefer the non-mentholated version.

Roderick, I did a review shaving with nothing but the Cube. You are correct.:)

While you discuss the "Fair of 1812" of 345 Soap Company, do you realize that combined with the $18.95 price, if 9% sales tax and if $8 shipping (ONLY guessing these), then that 5.8 ounce product would be about 4.9 to 5.0 dollars per ounce?
@MarkSzorady4 ай бұрын
I've used it and shot the review. (Still need to edit) I also ud it for a second shave. Both shaves were great. Based on the amount of soap, brush load, etc. my guess is, Faire of 1812 is going to last a long, long time. So, perhaps this adds to its value.

PAA Cube 2.0 is my go to pre shave. I like it over the oils as I don't have to soap up and wash my hands after applying like I do with oils. Thanks for reminding me I need to add another Cube to my next order. I will mention I use a unscented pre shave bar of soap from Stirling for my face wash. Got the menthol one and it does a good job. While I do have pre shave oils I find myself gravitating to the Cube. It really seems to boil down to not having to clean my hands so much after applying. I will also state I haven't had any issues with pre shave oil clogging the razor as I sometimes see mentioned when I do use the oils. Thanks for another great video. Hope you have a good 4th.

About the toggle. The 10 dollars it cost back in 1960 would be the equivalent of about 106.10 today per US Inflation Calculator. Makes some of my razor purchases now not seem so bad. Great looking purchase that was made.

I basically agree with what Bill Murphy says about the rinse-vessel and not put lather+stubble down the sink drain. I do nearly the same as what he does. Never do I put hair down the sink! Tall plastic quart-size food container to hold rinse water. Vigorously agitate the razor to remove spent lather+hairs, and when done with the razor passes, pour the rinse liquid into the toilet; rinse a couple times this rinse vessel at the sink but pour this too into the toilet. Flush when ready.
