Mark you had some incredible words about Marcus Bagwell in the Second Cup Podcast. It truly speaks volumes about a person when we can Cerro them a friend but have never met in person. He truly sounds like an awesome guy.

I’m so happy that the MMMB kicked off with Coffee and Mug from Marc! I was so sad to hear about his passing. I always looked forward to his reviews and comments. We both owe him for his strong recommendation of PAA Dapper Doc! It’s one of my top 5 scents. I feel a great voice in the wet shaving community has been lost. 😥

Hey Mark! Sincere condolences to the family of Marc Bagwell. His contributions to your show will be highly missed! As for that razor that Hawkeye is using, it appears to be a Gem 1912 single edge. They are very common in antique stores, ebay, etc. As for that PAA Sundown shave soap, it's based on the vintage aftershave Sun Up from Gillette. It was popular back in the mid sixties. I have two bottles of it in two vintage travel kits. It still smells great! Thanks as always for another great 3MB!! Jim from Northfield

Yet another great 3MB Mark. Nice & fitting wee tribute too to your friend Mark Bagwell who did some really great contributions to 3MB & your reviews. I think it was Mark who recently made favourable comment, on 3MB, on Strlings Autumn Glory. I agreed with Mark on that verdict. Andrew Hill on Stirlings Deep Blue Sea? Again another great one from that house. Think you may enjoy that one Mark &, again may, want to consider it for review...that's if you haven't already done so. Have to say that, from my perspective, it's not half bad. Love to know your thoughts on it.Have a great week Mark.

Hi Mark- Great MMMB; thank you! Wonderful information throughout the show, as always! The “Hawkeye” razor from MASH does look like a Gem-style razor, but I am far from expert on this type of razor. I agree with Rodney on the Muhle Rocca being a wonderful daily driver. I have the all stainless steel version, and the razor was a touch more efficient than what I had been used to using. I varied the blades that I was using, from milder to sharper, and finally settled-in with the Gillette Nacet blade being the best for me in the Rocca. It can be a lot of fun when using new equipment for the first few times to see what works best for us. Have a great start to the week and best regards, as always, Mark!

I call Hawkeye’s razor a GEM as well. I believe it is a Model 1912 or 1919. I cannot tell if there is Damaskene imprinted on it, which, I believe would make it a 1912.

Great show Mark. I have been using the Shave Nation Halloween shave bowl often and it works great. I also use Atomic Pumpkin all year round as I purchase enough to last until the next fall season. the Tedalus razor is beautiful and sound like a fantastic razor, but I just can't see myself spending that much money for a razor. Besides it is out of my price range. I have Sundown and love the scent. I also received Greenwich Envy and that is also a fantastic scent. Have a wonderful week. 👍

Bill the bowl is greast! Atomic pumpkin, is great for the fall, but yes, it's a year-round scent for sure.:) The Tedalus Velocity-ONE, I think, targets a very specific market of wet shavers. The great thing is, we have so many options.

The razor which Hawkeye is holding looks similar to but not exactly the GEM Micromatic Razor. His razor there has a metal plate coming from the rear of the head, going partway down toward the handle. GEM? Maybe; could be; but at least is not appear to be Micromatic. Interesting if some viewers could confirm.

The head shape of the razor points to it being a Gem 1912. It's definitely not a micromatic nor a Clog Pruf.

:):):) Well, the great thing is there are so many options out there for wet shavers. As I've always said, you'll find a razor, soap, brush, etc. that fits your wallet and your face/beard type.
