I don't recall a time when I was on someone else's schedule that I had time to turn shaving into a double or triple feature. Looks like fun, though.

What kind of process and experience is to remove the blade from this razor, since the end tabs of blade are covered? ??

Thanks for the great product review sir. I enjoyed your video. You just convinced me today to order that bundle deal from Italian Barber. I don't have any orange or lime scented soaps so I'm really looking forward to shaving with these soaps in the near future.

Excellent!:) Great soap but make sure to really take the extra time to load the brush.:) It is a very hard soap.:) You can also do a face lather after loading the brush.:) Also, give Tabac a try.:) Great old school barbershop scent, thick lather and comes in its own ceramic shaving bowl.:) amzn.to/2QC7nw6

Hi Mark, just bought the lime puck and can’t wait to try it, how do you store the puck? Italian Barber says the puck is meant to be left out in the open. Also I picked up the Game Changer .84 gap and that’s an amazing stainless steel razor, and like you mentioned the end tabs of the razor are enclosed on the GC as well.
@MarkSzorady5 жыл бұрын
Nice!:) I think you'll like it a lot.:) I usually leave the lid off for a day or two to let it air out. For storing, I got back and forth. sometimes I put the lid on, other times I leave it off. I've heard two schools of thought on this, but I thin consensus leans toward leaving the lid off. I like the shaving soaps Tabac and Mitchell's that come with their own ceramic bowls and loose fitting lids.:) Loose fitting so it appears that air can get in and circulate.

Mark Szorady thank you Mark, the lather you made with the Marco method made an incredible lather, I guess letting it air dry will help preserve the soap, I want to buy the orange as well, Italian Barber has the orange puck for $2.50, can’t beat that price:)
@MarkSzorady5 жыл бұрын
@@Shaverboy516 My pleasure.:) I agree, $2.50 is an outstanding price.:) When it comes to shaving soaps, I really do like citrus scents and blends.:) The Lime is very distinct but very nice and, well, citrusy, but not overly so. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.:)
@Shaverboy5165 жыл бұрын
Mark Szorady Wow Mark, the Lime is amazing, used it in the morning and it makes a pretty amazing lather, very dense but super slick, I’m guessing this puck will last quite a while considering it’s triple milled. I have to get the Orange too:)

Hi Mark what is the scent strength on the soap? On a 1-10 scale. Also does the scent linger? Thanks Mark:)
@MarkSzorady5 жыл бұрын
As I recall, it's a five or six. However, once you become accustomed to it, then not so much. Initially, it's a really nice. It blooms nicely. It does not linger at all.:)

Mark Szorady thank you Mark, RazoRock has some great prices for these soaps, plus the lather you generated was incredible. I’m just picky with scents and not a fan of too strong on the scent side. Love your videos BTW:)
@MarkSzorady5 жыл бұрын
@@Shaverboy516 Agree, RazoRock does have some great prices on wet shaving gear.:) Regarding scents, I understand how some wet shavers prefer to have something more subtle. Again, as I recall, this scent is not overpowering..only on first opening. then again, it's really subjective. I used the Marko Method to whip up the lather. Here's a video I did on it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJCTlqFte5J1lck

Mark Szorady this method gave you some amazing results, I still use the art of shaving cream, but it’s too expensive and these soaps from RR are cheap and get the job done. It’s a shame we don’t have any choices when walking into a local CVS, it the same canned foam shaving cream on the shelves, there might be only a few out there for creating a bowl lather.

@@Shaverboy516 I live in NE Ohio. We have a local drugstore chain called Discount Drug Mart. Lately, they've been stocking more wet shaving products. Notably, Pinaud Clubman. I've purchased two Clubman after shaves (Original and Bay rum) as well as the shaving soap. So perhaps it' starting to change and we'll see more stores start to stock traditional wet shaving soaps, etc.:)

Hi Mark- Very nice shave and review today; thank you! Soap does look really nice. Thanks also for the scent profile on the La Toja aftershave and balm- I do have the shaving cream and these sound like a good complement to one another. Thanks again and have a great week ahead. All the best!

Well, at least to my sense of smell, the La Toja has that slight orange undertone to it. It's somewhat close.:) Others may disagree.:) YMMV.:)

In your opinion what are the 5 slickest soaps/creams that you know of? I plan on trying out "What The Puck?!" soaps. That lather was glorious.

Nice review Mark, that took a little work but wow ! an impressive lather ! Glad to hear about the slickness too, that’s what I look for. I can’t say enough about that chieftain either. You know after not using my vikings “blade” since the first time I shaved, I went back to it to give it a try. I was dumb founded. It actually cut well on my thick beard and was really much smoother then the feathers I had gotten used to. So I started looking them up and reading that they are supposed to be sharper then the persona. I did my third shave today with it and I think I can get one more. It will be interesting to compare it to the Persona blades when they come in. But anyway great deal on those and great info 👍

jbgearhead you're very welcome! I like the personna blue blades too. But I definitely give the edge to the Vikings blade razor blade. It works for me.:). Glad to hear they work for you too.:)

Happy Easter! That was a great sale they had on the 3-pack. Love triple milled soaps they last much longer. I only have the Barber Shop Blue which came as part of a great kit they had for only $17.99 I think it was for Quick Change Razor, Brush, soap and alum bar and blades I believe. You forgot to add the bloom water to your face again (not in the rinse water)lol
