Great job George and Team! For every one complaining Teenagers are just that teenagers you will find some with a great personality and some more honest which at times may come across as rude. Those sisters are stuck for life and you can tell they will do anything for each other. The reason they all live there is because they want to and they are happy! The house is no doubt paid off and if anything happens to the older parents the daughter and husband are there to help them out. Don't people pass houses down to each other still? More power to them they look like a wonderful family.

My favorite thing so far in any GTTR is them talking about their inner teen age girls -- that whole conversation. I like that designer. Frankly some of the designers on GTTR have been a bit clueless or have missed the target. This one is a marksman. When it gets to the coral chest of drawers you see something of her fire. She has a vision and there is nothing in the market to match her vision so SHE creates it.

@john cottrell Yes, I know they agreed to do those five rooms, so since they didn't show all five rooms, I didn't think they did the space for the parents. I've never seen an episode that didn't show at least SOME of all spaces they worked on. I hope you're right and they DID actually re-do the space for the parents. As you said, though, the kids were the reason for the episode. They could have at least given us a quick, tiny PEEK at the finished space for the parents. :)

New to the channel. Have enjoyed all the videos so far. This one did confuse me, though, as I thought the whole family was moving upstairs from the beginning. I thought that was the whole point, to flip the families. But, at the end, you made it sound like moving the parents upstairs was a surprise. If it wasn't about keeping the whole family together why couldn't one of the girls have moved to one of the upstairs bedrooms a long time ago so they could have each had their own room. That made no sense. Nice makeover, though, I hope the grandparents also got a makeover downstairs, as that seemed to be the intent, as well, but was not shown in the end. Cool ceilings in the girls' rooms. Loved that.

me and my 2 sisters shared a 3-floor bunk bed in a 10x10 feet bedroom for decades. I had my own room with a single bed for the first time only after I moved away at the age of 26.. I don't understand why it is such a huge problem for this family. this family did not need to be rescued, in my opinion. it is not a necessity for 2 girls to each have their own bedroom. it is a luxury that many families cannot afford..

Confused. The rooms are gorgeous, I'm just confused. That being said, I'm new to the show, so maybe some of the renovations are just for families that need updates and not always a medical/disaster/loss kind of thing? It all came out lovely, and I'm sure the grandparents are glad not to have to deal with stairs anymore. I know how hard that is. We lived in an upstairs apartment when my mobility crashed. The complex wouldn't let us move early, so I ended up going up and down the stairs on my butt for safety haha. I'm younger so I don't have the same bone break risks as someone older. Glad that this family was able to rearrange themselves.

@claudeusgothicus6453
@claudeusgothicus6453 4 жыл бұрын
Apparently, they did 5 rooms so one of those would have been a bedroom for the grandparents downstairs. And what do you mean they get nothing? It seems like grandma & grandpa got quite a lot.. dare I say more than they ever bargained for? A daughter who never moved out along with her husband(?) and two children who not only live with them but are so dependent upon them and can't do anything on their own for themselves. Isn't that what every parent dreams of? I mean seriously that ceiling light pretty much says just how useful they all are to grandma & grandpa. Those two girls could have been moved up into the extra rooms at any time on their own. The whole family should have been fixing stuff around the house, cleaning, doing the cooking and helping out all this time considering they're living in her parent's house which I'm betting is already paid off. This family should be doing these things automatically along with taking care of her parents who shouldn't have to do anything at this point except enjoy their lives. All I see is some lazy ungrateful people who want/expect others to do all the work and improve their lives for them. People who are teaching their children to be the same, taking instead of giving. Yes, I could be wrong, I only saw 10 minutes of this family's life. However part of what I said is pretty obvious, while I will admit I have no idea who does the cooking and cleaning. And remember that they didn't ask for a better living situation or even improvements for her parents in order to make their lives easier. They basically asked for someone to do the work of moving them all upstairs and paying for the room makeovers for 'them'. She specifically said: WE would like to move up here where there's more room. My mom and dad WE would like them to move downstairs..... they actually wanted to move downstairs, my mom it's getting hard for her to walk up and down the stairs. The girls would have their own rooms for the first time in a very long time. And it would mean allot to all of us to have the space, WE don't' have the space when WE'RE downstairs. I'm sorry but if you were actually doing this for your parents who couldn't get around anymore, and wanted to improve their lives, she wouldn't have phrased it as she did. So I'm sorry if anyone doesn't like what I said.. but I believe in calling a spade a spade. Usually, George To The Rescue helps those in need who actually are in serious need. They tend to be people who've gone through some tragedy and loss, those who struggle daily with some type of handicap, and/or people who have given to their communities in some way themselves, or at the very least those who are struggling but have at least been attempting to help themselves. So I really just don't get this one.

@claudeusgothicus6453
@claudeusgothicus6453 4 жыл бұрын
@@zztopz7090 - Actually yes, a lot of people in America are broke and the rest are living above their means with huge credit debt. The much bigger problem, however, is most 'younger' Americans perceived sense of entitlement. This country is screwed up and full of people who believe they have they are the only ones who matter and have some right to tell others what they can and can't do, think, say, etc. America was once a great nation full of people who could handle anything thrown at them and come out on top. Now we are a nation full of mentally unstable, ignorant idiots who lack critical thinking skills yet believe they should have some right to tell others how to live their lives. It's sad really. I know America isn't the only country that's gone downhill, much of Europe also suffers from the same affliction. The loss of traditions, bad education, and making the children the center of the family (which started back in the 1960's) are just a few of the things which I believe have contributed to America's current state.

I really like "George To The Rescue" but I don't feel like there was anything special about this family to get "Rescued". Sure looked to me like there were two unoccupied bedrooms that with a little work the family (or the girls if they want it bad enough) could've redone themselves so the girls weren't supposedly sharing a room and sleeping in bunkbeds. George said they were doing 5 rooms, 3 upstairs and I'm assuming 2 downstairs. Maybe the grandmother is just a very private person and not comfortable with exposure.

prediction :they will ripp everything down to make it "open plan" and then paint the walls and cabinets in various shades of hobopiss (eggshell/white). Then they will add a "splash of color" by putting in grey or beige furniture and a light gray carpet.

I don't understand why this family needed rescued. So things were dated. There were beds and dressers for the girls right there in the rooms. I love watching George rescue families with issues not just 'we can't live up there it is to dated!!" really? Kinda makes the kid wanting wheelchair access look whiney

Hello, Jorge, I know that it is not impossible for God. I don't know about you. I don't know if Puerto Rico is part of your rescue. there is a person who needs to renovate his house. is poor. He also lost his house in Storm Maria. Now he lives in a house that needs to be fixed. fema didn't do much. I would like to talk to you. but I don't know if it is possible that Puerto Rico, which is American territory, enters your rescue zone... answer me... please...

those girls will be leaving home soon for college or career so why do all that now?...& why didnt they all switch floors already if they all wanted to? they had the rooms, they didnt have to renovate to move around. i think the show should have renovated the grandparents downstairs apt. the grandparents are the ones who worked hard all their lives to provide that home to the grown(?)kids & grandkids. i rented my first apt at 21 & painted the whole place myself. it was alot of work but i loved what i accomplished. whats wrong with all these able bodied people?! no, i didnt enjoy this show. i felt bad for grandpa & grandma.
