very impressed by georgetown with that win. they overcame a tough opponent and maintained poise to excel in the end. well done

shocking how few comments talk about leblanc. he had a monster game (for him) and is equally important as akinjo and mac. he puts up solid numbers with almost no plays called for him.

I've not been able to watch many games, but I did think Leblanc looked like a good ball player. I've pretty much only had time to watch highlights on account of my family and career, but I still really love these guys. I hope they continue to grow, and I hope I get to watch some more games...

my son and i watched this game, and i am a HUGE mac fan, but mac had a pretty poor game, with lots of stupid decisions and poor shot selection. pat ewing mad all the right coachign decisions imo. mac will be 3x more effective _next_ year, even though he's vital to this season as he's like the beating heart...if he's not hyped, georgetown's not hyped.

@@douglasharley2440 That's a ridiculous assessment. McClung played a great defensive game and was benched for half the game. A few missed shots.... So what, all the players have missed shots, including Powell, Akinjo, ESPECIALLY GOVAN,. Are you kidding me? The guy's the best natural athlete on the team. Then, comes LeBlanc and Akinjo who are also very athletic. McClung does things that no other athletes on the team can do. Akinjo would be much better if he dribbled a lot less. Difference between him and Powell is that Akinjo uses the ball like a jackhammer and Powell glides effortlessly toward the hole.... like McClung.

@Stephen Brodsky, agreed Mac is a great athlete. Consider this, an icon in the Big East also an Hall of Famer doesn't know what he's doing coaching this team....? Let's be real, Pat knows more about bball in his sleep then you'll ever know. Let the season play out, if it's God's will for Mac to play somewhere else he will. Calm Down! Shalom

He played within the offense could’ve had a better game but it was Akinjos night I personally want Mac to be the PG but they’ll be a nice backcourt tandem either way Macs unselfish too I notice if Akinjos playing well he gives up the rock to him. I hope they make the tournament but if not I still think they have a bright future ahead of them to make Georgetown a contender again

i like mac----but like i said before coach pat needs to give the keys to akinjo. i've always liked his game----he's just solid all around and generally makes good/the right decisions. and of all the guards i think he's the purest ball-handler in the half court and in transition. i just think they're a different/better team when akinjo handles the ball exculusively.

To Brian Jett. I hope McClung transfers. He's clearly the best player on Georgetown, but if there are enough haters like you, McClung's way better off taking his talent to a team who will appreciate his exceptional athleticism. Ewing pulls anyone out of a game who makes a mistake. It's a dumb policy that only demoralizes an athlete and diminishes his self-confidence. Happens to McClung all the time. It even happened to Akinjo. Ewing pulled Akinjo out after Akinjo's foolish shot in the Marquette game. Akinjo wasn't himself for a good 3 to 4 games afterwards. He finally got a taste of what McClung had been dealing with all season. Marquette, Butler, Creighton and any number of great D1 programs would love to have McClung. Marquette's coach WoJo said, "The thing I love most about Mac is that he knows he belongs". The coach of Arkansas Little Rock said that McClung could start for any backcourt in the country. This is what other coaches are saying about McClung!! It's McClung's choice, but I sure hope he and his family move him to a different team that will appreciate his unique gifts. He definitely should get rid of spectators like you. You're poisonous thoughts alienate a team.

I know players have their off days etc but that can be changed with a serious pep talk during the game. I get what youre saying and youre right, but doesnt make sense he outs mas in the OT which is when the game needs to be won, but didnt during final minutes before the first OT. Akinjo is a purer point guard then Mac. You put Mac at the 2 with Akinjo because of his finishing ability, Akinjo can feed mac for easy back screens and transition hoops. Mac has more freedom to pickpocket in the midcourt if he is on the 2 as well, as is seen by his wide-open nasty reverse dunks throughout the season all coming from his uncanny ability to read the D and make a play again in the midcourt. Don't see Ewing swopping Mac anytime soon for Akinjo. Why? Mac plays a 150% all out balls out blood sweat and tears kind of game, Mac is the kind of guys a coach would hate to see running the ball up the court, don't get me wrong Westbrook is that point guard, but macs game is about athleticism, the things that are good about him wouldn't be good if he was a pg, he barely gets a dunk a game an in the NCAA, if at PG it would be virtually zero. I wanna see Mac be faster, jump higher, beat his opponents up the floor, and back on defence to make the kind of plays this young man can make. He is what we call a sparkplug, a guy who wears his heart on his sleeve, to be able to 38 u gotta have the kind of mentality you are simply the best guy on the court no matter how big no matter how tall the comp. Belief in yourself is powerful, but true faith that you are the best in rare, he is electrifying, let us see if will make the big dance

@@douglasharley2440 How would we know? He's never been given a chance to play point. One of the big problems with Georgetown team chemistry is Akinjo's quest for dominance. He's like a bull in a china shop... he doesn't take a step back and measure his reactions. Like yesterday when he wanted to start a fight with Seton Hall players and McClung had to restrain him. McClung is an easy going young man with a calm disposition. That's the essence of a great point guard.
