Thank you for this vastly informative works. As a mixed raced creole woman of color born and raised in the United States with a High School named after my Grand Father, Neil F. Simeon Vocational Academy in Chicago, I feel education is very important to overcoming ignorance. I also feel the word “negro” is highly derogatory, in addition to the brutality and segregation is a sorry part of our American history.

The Penn family is of William Penn, founder of Pennsylvania. His aunt Rachel Penne is my 10th gg grandmother. The Hart family of Charleston are the descendants of the Penn family of Pennsylvania. Oliver Hart was pastor of First Baptist Church Charleston 1650-1680. The were opposed to slavery

My mom & her mom, & her great grandma , grandma was from Florence Sc . They definitely embedded our families history into me. How they still worked like slaves . She said, " I was out there picking cotton at 2 years old." They stayed on the plantation or farm , making a little of nothing. All of them was born Colored. It was on their birth certificates. When I tell my fam history some people think it's not real .

No, black history is not racism against white people. The problem with white people they make everything about themselves. Educating Americans about history is painful for all. It's hard to accept the atrocities that were committed against native Americans, Black Americans and Asian Americans. It's very ugly. We are not the savages.
