This cd is regularly played in my home from Thanksgiving night to just before New Years. If a heavy snow is falling I turn off the table and pole lamps, so only the tree lights and candle lights are on, and the snow outside is illuminated by the streetlight lights about half a block away.

My favorite also. I saw him many, many time over 40 years and finally met him in Charlotte 2 years ago. I play this because it makes me feel sad. i want to feel that. It's makes us feel alive.

Been listening to this for about 32 years, and I still love it. Saw him in St Pete, FL a few years ago, and when he first started playing it brought tears to my eyes. Not just that it was beautiful, but so many years of memories associated with how long I've been listening to this particular album. I love it. Thanks George.

This is one of many holiday songs that saved my life 20 years ago when I went into deep depression after suffering many crises , hardships and a death in the family. And when I had no support from anyone,my morale fell to an all time low, to the point where I felt life wasn't worth living anymore. But when I began listening to this song, among others, I felt spiritually lifted, and things slowly began turning around for me. For that I am eternally grateful to all those who wrote and recorded such wonderful music like George Winston. Rest well sir! 🙏🎄🎶🌹🥂🥂

December is a masterpiece. Your signature album in my mind. Few other albums stir my soul like this one. The skill and timing are amazing and the result is a wonder that stops me in my tracks. Thank you, ty, ty George Winston. The gift you share with us has meant so much to mean, and I hope you have a warm heart knowing just an ounce of your listeners appreciation!

OMG. I could not agree more. I just listened to The Holly and the Ivy on full volume. I am overcome with emotion, as I am every time I hear it. The whole album is, as you said, a masterpiece, but this song is my favourite instrumental of all time, bar none.

Here in remembrance of one of the greatest musicians of my lifetime. Thank you for all the inspiration. Your music is remarkable, and I was lucky enough to see you live with my wife in Munhall a few years ago. I'm truly saddened by you moving on, but will cherish your music for the rest of my life. 😞😊

Creo que muchos lo extrañamos. Me tocó verlo en vivo una vez en la ciudad de México, hace muchos años, entrando a la sala sin zapatos, sólo en cancetines, y se sentó al piano a tocar. Descanse en paz, George!

This song stays treasured in my heart. It makes me think of a hungry young substitute teacher playing his heart out while kids outside his classroom are waiting for their school bus on the last day of school before Christmas vacation.

I firt bought this album in '87. I was a young, single, professional woman who travelled a lot. On Fridays when I got to my place, I would light the fire and listen to this, and relax. I felt I was on top of the world, happy, content. Now, so much later, I have refound this wonderful album and it brings me back to this wonderful 'I am enough, capable and powerful' feeling. Thank you!!!!
