The No.5 Seminoles were defeated by the No.6 Georgia Bulldogs 63-3 in the 2023 Capital One Orange Bowl. FSU quarterback Brock Glenn passed for 139 yards on the afternoon. Kentron Poitier hauled in 4 receptions for 84 yards, and defensive lineman Patrick Payton had a sack and a forced fumble for FSU.

That was bad. It's worse than the TCU game last year. I don't care about the backups playing and not having starters playing for FSU that was just ugly, and even with backups, it never should have been that bad. FSU started offensive linemen played, and that got slapped around. Come on, you know that Georgia is the best team in the nation. Look what they did last year to TCU. FSU is as good or better than three of the four that made the playoffs. FSU showed up got their check and now we can move on to the next year. The season was lost when the committee snubbed them.
