Sometimes it bothers me when people drop the word adhd so reluctantly.. being someone that has been influenced by my severe adhd my whole life, without even really knowing, its hard when people think describe just general ways of acting sometimes as being adhd.. it can make people with adhd feel like people think its specific ways of acting sometimes, when it‘s so much more than that. If you have adhd, there is not a single second or thing that is not influenced by it, because it is your brain chemistry, everything that goes into you and out of you, goes through this neurodivergence. Making your whole life a little different in a specific way than to most people. However of course there are so many other differences in human beings. Just note that some daily tangible adhd symptoms are also symptoms of a lot of other causes like character traits or straight up hormonal things or times in your life etc. When someone has adhd, there is not year in their whole life where there wouldn’t be signs of it, and usually there is a huge build up of the ways the differences effected your life nonstop, especially if it wasn’t diagnosed as a child. If not everything can be correlated with adhd, then you don‘t have it, because if you had it, your brain would be structured differently and since you carry your brain all the time, not just sometimes, everything is influenced by this difference. Anyway I am not a psychiatrist, or I haven’t studied neuroscience but I like to make people aware that if you are also not one, use these sort of diagnosis words carefully..
