Saw this one in the cinema in 1995, it is still one of my favorite films of the 90s (if not so, of all time). ''Un Prophète'' is another great French film (although, there are so many French classics) from 2009, it's a prison/gangster movie, and also imo one of the greatest gangster movies ever made. Finally somebody is doing a reaction video on ''La Haine'', thanks mate! Now I'm gonna watch, intrigued what you think. Greetings from The Netherlands.

Much more better than la Haine who is a (film) produced by bourgeois whom never lived in suburbs really. Just a kind of fétichisme or rédemption ?

- Le grand bleu (classic and beautiful movie about the competition/friendship between 2 diver) - Un prophète (dark and realistic about french prisons) - Le dîner de cons, Astérix et Cléopâtre (2 classic comedies but for Astérix you may need to get familiar with the cartoon first) - Mesrine part 1 and 2 (Vincent Cassel play the role of the most famous french gangster, its a true story) - La Grande Vadrouille (old and excellent classic comedy during WW2)

Here are some my favorite French crime movies from recent years (few of them are even remade in the US), ''Sur Mes Lèvres'' (2001), ''13 Tzameti'' (2005), ''Pour Elle'' (2008), ''À Bout Portant'' (2010), ''Nuit Blanche'' (2011), and again ''Un Prophète'' (2009). Also watch at least one 70s classic, ''Le Cercle Rouge'' (1970), which I highly recommend. ''Rififi'' (1955) & ''Le Trou'' (1960) are true French classics (first one is the mother of heist movies and the latter a prison escape movie).

Grunwaslki storie is really important ,there is a moral behind it. We got a say in France it's "let down your pants" (baisser son pantalon)it's symbolise the pride. So basicaly grunwalski cant get help from his friend cause he got to get his pants up, so grunwalski dies from his pride. Vincent cant gets help from hubert cause of his pride.
