Great to see a successful young female engineer!!! I can tell your profession is in great demand because I have been looking for one and can't find and available engineer. We built a house on 2020 and are haven some issues with significant settling in a corner of the house. We are in the central/east coast of Florida and is has been very difficult to find a geotechnical engineer to come to the house and do an inspection. Keep the great work.

Settling/foundation issues are a homeowner's worst nightmare! Sorry to hear you are having this problem. You are right about the shortage of geotechnical engineers. In fact, Estela discussed with me (not included in the video) the difficulty in filling available openings in the industry. It's a branch of civil engineering that doesn't seem to get much attention but it is very much in demand. If you know any late high school/early college students that are exploring their options please share this video with them!
