Thanks a lot. I've just ordered this frame. Will it be possible to mount radiomaster br3 true diversity receiver (900MHz) or radiomaster rp4 true diverisity (2.4 GHz) ? If so, then how will it be placed
@Seii-FPV
@Seii-FPV 4 ай бұрын
You can mount anything on any frame if you're creative enough. There is always some room somewhere and you just have to find it and figure out what kind of TPU to make as a holder. I am using RP4 in my latest, 7th custom build and the video is in the making as we speak. If everything is going accordingly to my plans, I will be releasing it probably this weekend. Until then, you can have a look at my community post here, and see how I mounted it on my latest build. Second photo is the one that shows where and how I mounted it. I make all my custom TPUs: kzbin.infoUgkxR7AyZmsKhKsFZqTlF0EvVEBEpY6MVwge - EDIT: It is always the best for one antenna to be horizontal, and the other one vertical. Well, not verticall, since the angle of our quads when we fly is pretty much close to 25-45 degrees, that's how I mount my "vertical" antenna... under 45 degrees angle. Once my quad is in motion, antenna will look perfectly vertical. Hope this makes sense.

You're very welcome. Sometimes when I don't want to wait until my friend 3D prints TPUs for me, I make some Frankenstein contraption using my soldering iron (separate tip I use just for melting TPU). You can have a look at my 5th custom build video, and at this specific time, 12 minutes and 22 second, all the way to 13 minutes and 6 seconds, you can see super close-up of the contraption for two antennas. Just showing that you have to figure out what works the best for each and every frame... kzbin.info/www/bejne/iWfLZ4WXe85pf7M

I follow your video for the steps. But I’m struggling for the little stand off of the camera aluminuim protection. The support stand off is shorter. Idk if geprc send me the wrong one. Could you tell me what is the issue?

Are you sure you picked the correct ones? If they are not the same length as the ones in my video, either you used them somewhere else, or you might have received wrong ones possibly. I'd double-check the other parts and measurements.

Aliexpress also offers a 'Mark 5' frame, but it's not from the GepRC brand and is significantly cheaper. Could this be a clone of the GepRC Mark 5?
@Seii-FPV
@Seii-FPV 2 ай бұрын
I never buy from Aliexpress or any other online shop like that, so I wouldn't know if what you're saying is true about them selling clones. Shops where I buy are respectable Canadian and US shops such as FlyHighFPV, GetFPV, RotorVillage, RotorGeeks and Pyrodrone. None of them would ever sell anything else but originals. I can asure you, the one you see in my video is nothing but original MK5. Even GepRC themselves is using my video with arm orientation animation I made, to show people how those arms should be installed.

Yes it is, I have been running 8x of the MK4 clones, now assembling the MK5 thus watching this video. It's a great quality clone as are the mk4's even crashing one face first into rocks from 200 ft. The clone however has no instructions and also no stickers on the screw bags lol

Thank you for stopping by. Yes, you are 110% correct. I actually found couple of really "nonsense" decisions on their part when it comes to this frame, and there is literally left a lot to be desired. I like it, this frame looks really elegant and clean... but if I have to buy it again, I would never do it. The truth is, there are tons of much better frames out there, with even lower price tag nowadays. If you have enough time on your hands, please have a look at the MOPAX assembly video here on my channel. It's made by one of our local Canadian FPV shop owners (not his first frame either, there is at least 4-5 amazing looking and intelligently designed frames offered by Rotor Village - Canadian FPV shop)

why the arms aren't symmetrical in the first place? Why design front and rear arms differently? Bullocks
@Seii-FPV
@Seii-FPV 2 ай бұрын
Maybe to some this is not logical, but I am sure designers have their reasons. Enough said, that after 7 custom builds (all 100% recorded in full up on my channel), I can still say this frame flies 10 times better than any other frame I put together. And I am talking about TBS Source One v5, talking about MOPAX, AOS 5 v2, iFlight true X, QAV-S JohnnyFPV SE, and above all - ImpulseRC APEX EVO 5". GepRC MK5 really nailed it this time. This frame flies like a charm. But, I do agree with you on one thing... there must be something they could have done to make arm ends identical (just like APEX EVo 5"). It would make building process much less confusing, plus in the event of a crash and one or few arms are broken, it would be so easy to buy replacement arms. This way it is not ideal at all... for example, the shop where I buy my FPV parts, now has only the rear arms, and they are out of stock on front arms. Totally problematic.

Hi. I have just unboxed my Geprc Mk5 DC, have installed props but realised I did it wrong ( I didn’t even bind or turn it on yet ) so I want to take them off but now when I take take top in order to do that it seems like they are all stuck in the there super solid. It went in super smoothly I didn’t break anything but it just seems like it’s there for good now I’m afraid to pull really hard and break anything I feel like that’s not how it should be? Am I missing out something?
@Seii-FPV
@Seii-FPV 8 ай бұрын
Never, ever overtighten props. There is absolutely no need to do that. If you tightened them too much, there is a risk that material they're made of (polycarbonate) started having micro-cracks. They spin at unbelievable speeds, and it only helps those cracks extend and spread further into the propeller base. Of course, that will cause them to literally explode under all those centrifugal forces. If you are sure you didn't overtighten them, then you can carefully grab them by their base (circular shape in the center), lodge your fingers in between the motor and that base, and carefully start moving them clockwise and counterclockwise, while gently pulling upwards. That will release them eventually. Of course, with other hand you will have to hold the motor steady so it does not spin with your other hand movements. Never use pliers or anything like that, you will damage motor bell, and maybe even magnets inside. Never ever use excessive force when it comes to installing/uninstalling props from your quad.

@@Seii-FPV man thank you so much for that reply I think I left like 15 comments or dms to everyone with Geprc and you are the first reply, my Mark is on the box with the propellers on untouched lol. Should I pull up and “unscrew” CLOCKWISE at the same time all 4 motors? Or two of them I should be twisting ANTY-CLOCKWISE? I didn’t REALLY tighten the tops after installing the props, I mean the were tight but I wasn’t twisting crazy hard like an actual screw in a piece of furniture for example. I also didn’t use any tools. Please let me know about the clockwise thing so I can attempt the deinstallation 😂 and thank you for the reply once again 🙏

@Seii-FPV
@Seii-FPV 8 ай бұрын
@@NONX01 - I didn't actually mean "unscrew"... there is no thread on the motor shaft for propellers. Propellers should simply slide onto the shaft. Thread that you see over there is for the screw at the top. When I said "clockwise" and "counterclockwise", I thought you have to jiggle them a little bit, rock them left and right gently, until they loosen themselves a bit.

@@NONX01 - good to hear. Be careful with batteries. This is by far the most important part of this hobby. People have burned their houses to the ground with this, and LiPo batteries are no joke. Do a proper research first (my friendly advice), and only when you are 100% sure you understand it totally, proceed with charging/discharging/stock charging batteries. They are super powerful and chemical reaction can be super violent. It's always the best thing to make sure you are understanding it fully, and once you don't feel afraid of doing it, you're most likely ready to proceed.

great video a question where to u use the ''Replacement Front Reinforcement Plate GEPRC''?
@Seii-FPV
@Seii-FPV Жыл бұрын
I did not use it, it's still in the original bag. If you are going to use TPU parts like I did in the front of the frame, that reinforcement plate won't fit inside the TPU along with the plate that's already on the frame. You can only use it in case you don't use TPU parts (some people don't like them).

Hello bro, thanks for your work! I own the Mark 5 DC version. Do you think it would be possible to replace arms and transform it into a X version? It would be awsome to have this possibility!! Where i live the DC version was the only model available and i really wanted the X model. Anyway it would be awesome to have this flexibility for a low price just replacing some parts, maybe some other minor parts as well should be replaced What do you think?

I'm not quite sure, I've never seen deadcat frame in person. There is no reason not to be able to switch all the parts... but if you have version for Dji O3, this frame won't work for you, you need to get Mark 5 X frame for O3 unit. This is my custom build based on Mark 5 frame: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZKXfXVqhcRqsJY - You will see I can squeeze anything inside (other than O3 unit). If you're planning to use it with O3, then definitely buy new version of this frame. Also, note that this is not true X frame, it's called "squashed X Frame", not perfect X. If you need to install O3 unit, then this frame is for you: geprc.com/product/gep-mk5x-o3-frame

Yes its for dji 03. After doing more research there actually is a conversion kit (40$) but from X to deadcat, i couldn't find it the other way around though. I think the safest way would be to buy the complete frame for only $80 and try to pass it through customs 😅 I would have a spare frame as well for other utilities and for any nooby inconvinience 😂 Thank you
@Seii-FPV
@Seii-FPV Жыл бұрын
@@hombredelfuturo_888 - yes, and I don't believe customs would give any trouble with carbon frame only. There is no electronic parts inside anyway. Although Argentina (assuming you're there now) might have different customs rules and regulations. Anyway, that squished X frame for O3 is the best way to go about it... and easiest. Moving parts from your DC shouldn't pose any problems. Those components couldn't care less about the shape of the frame, as long as it's the same or similar size of course (can't move these parts to 2.5" quad).

@@Seii-FPV exactly, i think the problem is with electronics. I will go for it! Do you find X shape to be more stable when flying? As im starting i would like to feel the differences I also like the props appearing in the video, its kind of cool
@Seii-FPV
@Seii-FPV Жыл бұрын
@@hombredelfuturo_888 - They are for different applications. If you're flying kind of cinematic, you want something that's going to push your camera forward, removing props from the view. That's where deadcat comes in. As for freestyle, I am pretty sure there is significant difference in flight performance and of course in X frame or squished X favor. Experienced pilots can pull out almost impossible even with deadcat, but it definitely has it's drawbacks and minuses if you want to use it in freestyle. A lot of beginners swear that X frames make their entering into the FPV, way easier... and we can see it happening with popularity of the iFlight Nazgul, Diatone Roma 5, GepRC Mark 5, iFlight Cidora SL5 v2.1, etc.
