You're very welcome, glad it's of use! I love seeing a game from the end of angle. Completely changes the perspective of what we see!

Love your job and every time you post something I watch it almost immediately! Can I challenge you? Try to make same type of analysis on the game plans of all Super rugby teams from this year. Or the game plan of the top premiership sides. It would be fun

That’s great to hear & I really appreciate your support. I love a challenge! I think that would be really interesting and would be fun to make too! I’ll see what I can do 🙏

Conway has always been an excellent defender. Not something you can say about many wingers (cough, Teddy Thomas, cough)
@GeraintDaviesGDD4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I’m a big fan of Conway, will be interesting how he fares when it forms to lions selection! Teddy is good at many things, but stopping attackers maybe isn’t the highlight!

My natural position is 15 and we regularly played with a pendulum back 3 but Since the 50/22 has been introduced to the game i switched to 10 in the 13-2 system & our defense has been solid… 50/22 is lethal if caught out of position , loved the law change as it adds another factor

Great vid. What changes (if any) would you make to your defensive setup to cope with the 50-22 rule in-place in Australia at the moment?
@GeraintDaviesGDD4 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Jamie 👍🏻 we’re seeing pretty much the same approach! Loads of pressure in the front line to make the kickers life difficult, backfield players keeping fairly deep & less likely to push up to ruck. What have you noticed so far?
@jhutchins084 жыл бұрын
@@GeraintDaviesGDD The main thing I've noticed is how hard it is to achieve the 50-22 as a kicker. Even Reece Hodge can't do it. As a result, defences don't seem to be doing too much to shut it down. I suspect it might become more of a feature once players have had more time to practice it. Combined with a rolling maul, it could be a defence killer.
@GeraintDaviesGDD4 жыл бұрын
@@jhutchins08 Yeah I agree that a driving maul would really help. I'm sure teams will conjure up some cool tactics (mainly kicking against the grain of where you're playing to try & draw the winger across), but as you say it's the skill of kicking that accurately that most players haven't explored! O'Gara would've been in his element!

It’s one of the hardest things to unfortunately. I share extra footage on my Patreon but otherwise I’m not sure how you’d get hold of it I’m sorry
