This rhythm section is honest with there intent and energetic movement. Potter seems to force something to happen here and stops when it doesn't gel. Virelles smashed chords really lifts the band's direction.

Geez you guys this is just one more colour in the paint box. People been playing like this since 60s. Check out "Conference of the Birds" David Holland or Circle with Chick Corea or The Art Ensemble of Chicago or hell late Trane. Now it's just one option available in my mind.
