Gerald Harper was surprised by Eamonn Andrews in December 1979 for the television programme This Is Your Life.

Long life and good health to this lovely man. He played James Hadleigh to perfection, all episodes I’ve recently re-watched here on KZbin. This calibre of actor will never be seen again and no amount of Oscars, Grammies, Tony’s etc can create them either!!

Really loved Gerald in Hadleigh. He could have been James Bond....

Gerald is delightful I met him in Blackpool at a Convention and he signed some Adam Adamant things for me, he posed with my Swordstick-delightful, and he was in The Dambusters as the RAF Officer who starts a riot ! Marvellous Actor, hope he is well.
