Gerald was THE most electrifying live male performer....he made you want to get out of your seat and roll around. He had an awesome connection with the audience live, much like Patti.

If there was a male version of Patti LaBelle live in her prime, it was Gerald. The man was electrifying live. His tribute to Patti where he rolled on stage is the essence of him giving it his all.
@KayyyRae2 жыл бұрын
Patti was his Godmother. I loved that tribute. I watch it all the time.

Comparing this with video he sung this song in there was so much more emotion singing this song. He reminded me of when i was in church and the pastor said my name in the sermon, the way he called out Tyra Banks. He is loved and missed by many.

I heard he was a great wonderful man. Beyond his blessedly outstanding musicality. Through many sources, he's known as a kind, thoughtful, generous man. I loved his performance on the documenatry about the FUNK BROTHERS backing band for Motown hitsville. Standing in the Shadows of Motown, he sang outta the blue.

SING GERALD!!!!!!! ONE OF MY FAVORITE VOCALISTS OF ALL TIME! TRULY MISSED!!!
@johanmhlongo61388 жыл бұрын
My first time to choose the kind of music to listen to was Gerald Levert, Baby hold to me and the O'jays: you've got hooks in me. I was not aware that Gerald and Eddie were related. I was inspired by their voices. In all CD's I bought Gerald I have 9 and O'jays 11 CD's. The other songs which is rare from the Leverts, is Where would I go without you'' when the song played in midnight back then I would wake up and watch the giants rocking with their Jackets.
