I admire Gerald for his view/perspective. I don't doubt it works for him. it's basically the old Wood Daves approach. However, I must confess I'm not man enough to make it work... so I follow the 'Randall Tharp' approach. No offense to mr. tharp! 🤣

In my experience a slack line is not the way to go. I get a better hookset taking most if not all the slack out. Randall Tharp was right on that wired2fish video years ago
