You mentioned physics and you were right! Some very simple rocket science wouls improve this design! All you need is a nozzle on the end and straighten that flow out! Read up on simple rocket nozzles and try again!

I took the internal blower, motor/pump out of a King size blow-up mattress, (110 volt) as it still works, but the mattress had too many leaks, so I ditched it and now I'm pondering whether or not I can rig that pump into the back of my kayak to make it go!

I was thinking the same thing. Get a 3x2 fitting and maybe using two 45’s instead of the 90’s would also help reduce the air flow reduction. Increased pressure and decreased flow reduction

thats the key, focus the pressure, the water is too dense to move, but maybe, I would try to get it down to inch and a half or quarter, the smaller the better I would think
