typical with this era of recordings, I find.... the music is always superior.

The singer is not very easy on the ear which rather mars a nice performance by the orchestra.

You hear him screaming on all those tangos that "Geraldo" ,Gerald Bright, recorded with his "gauchos". His accent is atrocious and hardly a word is understandable. But that was en vogue at that period. It enhanced the "exotic" atmosphere. In Germany at that time a Hungarian accent with ridicilously wrong accentuated vowels was very popular. Listen to recordings of Rosy Barsony or Marika Rökk. A faint smell of the wide world was brought to the ears of the more and more isolated Germans by Rosita Serrano, the "Chilean Nightingale".
