@@Exx0S yeppp, you’re 100% right, it’s a purpose built camera, not a compromised do it all camera like the a7siii is. Things like in built slr, with decent preamps, built in ND filters, proper video functions and features. When you shoot actual events, films (to a lesser extent as it’s common to use drop in filters for a matte box), etc, having in built NDs is a must, especially compared using screw in NDs or variable NDs. Other things like DCI and shutter angle are also extremely helpful. I I stlll can’t believe the a7siii doesn’t have shutter angle options. The gh5 had shutter angle all the way back in 2017, the lumix s5 which is like half the price of the a7siii and is even more of a hybrid camera, has shutter angle. The a7siii is a killer camera, but even with it’s extra features, a pro using this camera for what it is designed for, will take the fx6 over the a7siii any day of that week.

I still hope so much that they make the a7sIII and the fx6 more similar via firmware updates. 10 bit long gop is actually very important for me, audio while 120p also on the otherhand the better noise performance of the fx6 would also be a great addition on the a7siii ... i bought both the a7siii and fx6 and it would be sooo helpful to have them as similar as possible for a perfect A-Cam / B-Cam setup ... i love the a7siii colors on high isos and i love having a a very high denoise option because denoiseing in post is not always possible. For example on hour long events rendering will take forever

My viewing party is now complete, and it was a rollercoaster of emotion. Right off the bat, I'm disappointed as well with the XLR inputs and lack of even 3.5mm on the body, as well as some of the weird recording mode/frame rate limitations. My main hope for this camera was improved dynamic range, so once you showed that comparison with the a7S III, my hopes were dashed. Most surprising was the highlight rolloff comparison. Although the DR may be the same, when the clipping transition is more harsh, it would appear that that FX6 has a lesser DR in the final image. With that said, it makes me happier than ever that I got the a7S III. I'll still get ahold of one to test myself, but unless something magical happens, I can't imagine upgrading. Also... 16:07 - Redder lips on the Fx6 confirmed 17:55 - It may be the caffeine kicking in at that exact moment, but I loved that shot

Can we mount APS-C lenses, or this camera shares with the A7sIII the problem of having not enough sensor resolution to crop to super35?
@axelvetter3 жыл бұрын
You can use APC-C lenses if you switch on Clear Image Zoom. You lose some resolution and the field of view gets narrower. As you mentioned there's not enough sensor resolution to crop like the FX9 has. The interpolation should be OK but this is just a workaround if you want to use your old glass. I'm going to sell some of my APS-C lenses and buy full frame lenses.
