Outlander diesel service videos of this generation are so few and far between - I will be keeping this one close to me for years to come! Thank you!

Sitting here watching you change that fuel filter and thinking I wish I still had my old Renault Scenic. The fuel filter for that was below the driverside back door. Push 2 clips in, replace filter, replace fuel line, job done.

Briiliant clear video fella, looks the same as my 2.2 Di-D ASX, nice change to see a RHD even if the speedo is in KMs! Keep up the excellent work.

Is it practical to unscrew the filter without removing the body that it attaches to?

Really helpful video, especially the fuel filter. Is it possible to leave the filter assembly in situ, and just screw the filter canister off?
@paulcheteles71615 жыл бұрын
Ronan, yes it is possible, I did that on my 2010 ASX, but be prepared to make a lot of mess. When you unscrew the bottom cap (white one) all the fuel drains out of the filter and it's about 300 ml.

You haven't made mention of how to reset the warning signal and reminders inside the cabin after service. If you could made a video on how to reset the cabin warnings after service is done it would much appreciated. Thanks.

Many Diesel filters have a pump on the top of the filter assembly to prime the fuel lines after changing. ASX 2.2d does not seem to. does filling the filter with diesel limit the volume of air introduced enough that system will self change? should i expect 5-10sec of rough running as it does this? thanks in advance

Hello Burke’s Garage. I was wondering if you could let me know where the oil cooler is located on a 2008 2.2 DiD outlander. I have oil in water but no water in oil. Suspect oil cooler failure but can not locate it in cramped engine bay. Thanks in advance from sunny Galway
