I have had it for almost 2 months and cook with it just about daily. I used the dishwasher the first time time to clean it and hand washed it since, no problems. My wife and i are part way through a three month trip to Montana and cook a lot. The tongs work great for turning meat.

You can actually just carry the spoon or spork with the spatula and they nest by using one or the other in reverse tong mode. So just flip the spoon or spork around on the tong side and they nest and click together nicely. I personally leave the tool and spoon behind and am left with spork, spatula and tongs which I use quite often.

I use the UCO the two pcs snap together for dehydrated meals or can be used as separate utensils. And there is a cutting tool as well. Thank you for all you and Suzy do. You've saved me from many gear flub ups!

I bought this last year. Thanks to this great review, I knew everything about it, and I knew it's the right thing for me. And I really like it. Cooking real food in the outdoors, this tool has everything I need. Well except of the con, that there is no real fork. The spork works but I wish it was a real fork. Not a dealbreaker for me though. Yes the multitool is not good. The pealer is rubbish and as a can opener it is too small. I dont use the multitool and I dont need it either. I think for the money there is nothing to complain. Thanks Luke for this great review. Not a single point I could add.

Awesome review!! I have a set and got it at Academy’s for $24.99 about 8 month ago!! I contacted Gerber when I first got it and asked them if it was dishwasher safe and they instructed me to hand wash !!! I have had no issues with it what so ever!!!! I do agree on the multi tool its a little sharp, just be careful when pulling them apart!!! I pack mine with my Toaks spoon 🥄 .

I have been auditioning this product for 5 weeks. You are correct, hand wash only, keep it in a sleeve to reduce damage from the tool, or remove the tool and replace it with a tab of kydex or plastic. Did it, it works. The other feature it has Luke, is the spork or spoon lock into the handle of the spatula for a really long utensil. Overall, I do not buy Gerber. This product was well built and worth the money though. By the way, for people that do not use the tool and want to keep it safe, a piece of electrical shrink tube works and conforms perfect once heated. Thanks for all you do and godspeed to you and the family.

Just a note! I’ve been able to travel with this with just the fork and spatula. You just need to attach the fork face up to the front side of the spatula. And if you want the multi tool. That can sit on the back on its own if you slide it down the grip holder a tiny bit. Hope that helps!

Hi Luke. That is a boss Gerber utensil set. 30 bucks is a good price. Love the functionality of it. The colors are cool too! Its multi- tool function wo is good so it is a must..yes you do need them all ..camping, hiking you name it..Thanks for the review Luke👍👍👍

I agree with you all. It looks brilliant and would work for me, as I don't drive so even when i go site camping I am backpacking in so one of these and my Gerber Strongarm would cover all my needs for a week onsite, but I am in agreement with you all. I just searched Amazon UK and here it's £27 and much as i love the concept and I know Gerber stuff will last forever if looked after. £27 is just a bit too much cash for me.

I would love to see a dinner knife in that kit rather than the multi tool but it definitely has to be sandwiched between the spoons and spatula to make it safe to open. Great review as always!

I kicked around getting this Gerber set for a while, but I ended up with and love my UCO Switch and use it all the time. Light, simple, well designed and cheap ($8). Silly question on the Gerber though, I wonder why if they have a full sized spoon why not make the spork more of a fork?

I use an ice tea spoon from Walmart. It is stainless steel, has a long handle and I drilled a hole in the handle to attach a carabiner . Add a spork and Opinel knife. I do like the idea of the tongs.

Question. Why would you need a spoon with a spork? The spork is a combination of a spoon and fork hence the name.

I've gifted a couple of these aswell as owning a set of my own. It's a pretty versatile set; although, I do agree that the multitool is unnecessary. I feel that majority of outdoor folks will have some kind of multitool with them, I find the included multitool is somewhat a nuisance. Spoon, spork, and tongs works great. Coating on my bronze is wearing pretty quickly. I do enjoy using them over the Toaks titanium tong set, packs nicer. Thanks for the review.

Why do they always put sporks on everything?!? If you have a spoon why not just give us a fork? I never really enjoy eating steaks (and the like) when I eat it with a spork. If it’s a one tool thing I can maybe understand it, but putting a spoon and a spork together just seems silly to me.

Check out the “Splitter”. Titanium Spork and Spatula (they clip together to form tongs). Only 1.8 ounces but not cheap.

Right on Luke. 30 bucks isn't horrible for all that you're getting honestly. I like the spatula, and that it works with either utensil to make tongs. This is like a more compact version of basically what I carry now, metal tongs, cheap bamboo spatula, and one of my sporks. Hmmm. I do hate how they always seem to cram a can/bottle opener into everything these days. Got one! Dont need another cheaper version of one Gerber! As long as I'm wearing pants of some kind, I carry my Leatherman Rev. It's also up against my LiteMyFire and Keith Titanium long handle sporks. So... Idk. Kewl tool though. Great review Luke. I have not used this particular piece of kit nor have I seen it before this showcase of it. I think gimmicks are part of modern camping lifestyles and companies need to further find products to make to sell so outdoor enthusiasts can buy it then decide they don't like it and never use it again or lose it entirely on their trip in to whatever adventure they decided to forego. $30 is pretty a steep price for something that could be easily found at the dollar store, it may not say Gerber or do exactly the same thing but people tend to tailor their equipment for their own specific needs. For a novice/inexperienced hiker/camper this may work for them just fine and love it for a lifetime but usually pieces are lost or the utensil it used and abused for another purpose and thrown away. It's funny you posted this at the exact same time I finished watching one of your vids from 2014 titled "Military Surplus Overnight Adventure" and you look so happy and genuinely having fun out in the forest preparing for the big snowstorm It brings back a lot of good memories for me. I spent 7 years off the grid in a custom made solar powered trailer in all four of Michigan's seasons in many State parks and privately owned properties. I didn't have a home to go back to everyday after work but rather a 7 foot wide 9 foot long aluminum and steel box that had all the comforts of home ceiling height was sketchy because you could not stand up in it. It was a very good learning process of designing and building then figuring out day by day how to utilize the space as efficiently as possible. I showered outside in a Cabelas shower shanty and Zodi twin burner propane powered hot water on demand system. I'll stop rambling but if I had my druthers I would still be in that trailer in the middle of nowhere enjoying the trees and wildlife around me. Love the content Luke and keep up the excellent work, it's takes a ton of time ad creative effort to produce the KZbin videos you create for your viewers and I sincerely appreciate it. Looking forward to the next one.

Concept is cool, but I would only use the spork. I typically don’t use a spatula while backpacking. That multi tool is redundant if you carry a pocket knife or full size multi tool.

If I find this in Sweden at some point, I might check it out. As it is now I bring a titanium Light My Fire spork and GSI foldable spatula with me on adventures. This could be a nice and compact all in one solution. Me and my friends cook mostly over an open fire or gas flame, with a metal skillet of some type (Usually a Trangia skillet), so a pair of tongs and a spatula is essential. So yes, we would in fact need most of the features that this has to offer, except maybe some of the stuff on the multitool since my Victorinox Deluxe Tinker has all of that already and the tools work better on it.

Goven the time it takes to make a spachla, spoon , fork, and use a p51 opener this seems like a camp kitchen tool. I may get this after my thru hike for outings , But for bush or camp crafting think i rather stick to making the needed items.

Great idea but if your going to use the spatula your most likely going to use a pan thus carrying more items in your backpack. I would rather carry a totes 450ml mug and the 750mil pot then use the pocket rocket stove they all fit together in a small package then add a sea to summit long spork.
