@@GEODUCK9 as I am a full blood Scot we have traced our family back to 1700’s West and North West Coast Scotland My Grandfather came from a Glaswegian family of 9 my great Aunty was Nancy Riach the most finest female swimmer in Scottish History. I have no idea where yo haven’t gathered your information from .about London as The Riach’s as a sept of the Farquharson clan lived in Scotland.
@ROFTАй бұрын
Never heard the name Riach but then there's probably more Polish people here in Edinburgh than Gaelic speakers. Seems to be related to Rioch, and of course I've heard of Brucey boy, which has the same Gaelic etymology. Don't you just love it, however, when non Scots try to give you lessons on being Scottish. Edit: also nice job on railroading the topic to nonsense. I used to work at the Tattoo as a steward and never got to the point where the pipes didn't make my head tingle. My favourite is the Black Bear.

I’ve no English but my sister is married to an English man so there’s plenty intermarriage now between Scot’s & English people which wasn’t so high in the past with all the bad blood . I’m 83% Irish Scottish Welsh 11.4% Greek & South Italian 5.6 % Baltic . My parents are Scottish & Irish . I love being Scottish & wouldn’t have it any other way .
