it's really fun to see what you mean by culture. For me, culture is something different. You talk about different habits.

8:38 Now imagine that YOU are the owner of the house and YOU are worried if the other person is actually gonna pay, or is going to live in your house, not pay, trash the place and sell off your expensive kitchen on ebay. A house is very expensive in Germany. If someone ruins your house, you yourself might be financially ruined too. I find it very......interesting..... that the concept is so strange to you, to thoroughly check the person you are trusting with your house.

As German is my native language I hope I can explain things in English without to many Grammar mistakes. Normally we have two types of salad. One are the leaf salads and the other are "Feinkostsalate" delicatessen salad which are most based of meat or vegetables with mayonnaise or a vinegear/oel marianade. There a guiding principles how to made them. For example the vinegear helps to improve the shelf-life of the salad. Many of these vinegear/oel based delicatessen salads are very healthy. I cannot say something specific about to find an apartment. There are differencies between cities. München, Frankfurt am Main, Berlin are Cities for example where it is harder to find an apartment and they are expensive. Landlords want to make sure to give the apartment to the right person which don't cause problems and pay they rent properly I guess. As you named it already demand is also to high. In Berlin for example one reason is the "Mietendeckel". This is a complex topic I don't want to go into much detail, but you can find information about the topic in the internet. There is an FKK culture (FreiKörperKultur) here in Germany, but normally there are seperate areas/a seperate beach for example with signs where you can be complete nude and where not. You find the FKK culture in other EU countries as well. You sound like you ran into the FKK area.

Thanks for always taking the time to explain in such detail. 😊 For the FKK, the lake I went to was definitely not FKK because there were also other people in swimwear at the lake too. But I love all the body positivity and confidence, there is nothing to be conscious about, we all have the same body parts. As for the Mietendeckel in Berlin, I am not so sure if this will cause more harm than good in the long run because the landlords are saying that if the law gets kicked out by the courts then tenants would have to pay back the difference in arrears! This will amount to a lot of money for the tenants to have to pay back depending on how long this lasts for. In this case it would mean the Mietendeckel was entirely a waste of time.
@lexluthor8468
@lexluthor8468 4 жыл бұрын
@@WaleochroniclesThere are also a few mixed areas for FKK and textile. How the Mietendeckel will change things we will see. At the moment there seems more Cons than Pros if I read through articles about the topic. I hope overall you enjoy staying in Germany. It is not perfect, but there are worst places to be.

Hi there. Flat theme. Please imagine that you are a landlord and that a tenant moves into your apartment who causes you big problems. It is very difficult and time-consuming to get the apartment empty again in Germany. It can take years. Sometimes people just don't pay. We call this "rental nomads - Mietnomaden". Many landlords are ruined because of this. That's why landlords are very careful.

Salad is a dish prepared either "classical" seasoned with salt and pepper and with oil+vinegar respectively instead of vinegar fresh pressed lemon juice ..that´s how it is and was done since the ancient Roman times and "Yes" it is that old ... or....nowadays in modern times with a what ever kind of dressing sauce....the main ingrediants of a salad really don´t matter and never did from a food historical point of view. A Wurstsalat or Nudelsalat are cold maindishes by the way... A Fruchtsalat/fruit salad is a dessert although technically it is no salad but it looks like one... And "Yes" there are healthy salads as well but to be healthy is and was simply no criteria for to be a salad at all. And by the way the term salad respectively in german "Salat" is derived from the "Vulgar Latin" word "salata" just meaning "salted"...just saying... and "Pasta" is just the italian word for "noodles of any kind" respectively in german the italian word for "Teigwaren" which does not exist in english because the italian term became the english term as well and it is just an ingrediant not more and not less and simply no "dish/meal" as such. That´s why "pasta dishes/meals" have an additional name like "Carbonara" or "Bolognese" or whatever you name it which then refers to the actual dish/meal made out of pasta/noodles.. Therefore "Yes" a Nudelsalat is made out of "Pasta" when you like to use the italian term instead because there are noodles but it is still a salad. Well to be fair not that one you told in the vlog because a former warm Pasta dish then eaten cold is no "Nudelsalat" it´s just a cold Pasta dish. About the renting a house/apartment situation. How is it in Indonesia or Nigeria when the Landlord is deciding either out of the blue or because you are messy or loud or both "well next month/week you have to leave".. I can imagine you then have to leave. But I don´t know so tell me if I´m wrong. However in Germany it is not that easy to get rid of people even when those haven´t paid their rent properly and "out of the blue" is no option at all anyway because he would need a court order (Law of tenancy) and has therefore to hire a lawyer and has provide legit evidence that you violated the renting contract which costs him a lot of money and time of course, and you have to make your case in court as well to prevent to get sacked showing evidence that you didn´t violate the contract... so therefore the Landlord is usually checking first very carefully to whom he is renting his house/apartment. You 2 lovely girls provided an interesting content which made me subscribe therefore a thumbs up.

Hello und guten Abend, I also lived in Spain for 5 years and looking for an apartment there is like here in Germany, but I don't know what it is like in other European countries. Regarding the nudity, I can say that Germany has become much more conservative in the last 20 years or so. In the 90's people were much more relaxed about nudity than they are today. But in this regard, Germany is also very similar to Spain and France

You know, as a complete nerd I just couldn't resist the urge to respond to your opening argument on smalltalk: "what's the meaning of life?" The answer to that question is rather simple: 42. I know, you probably don't get that. It's a quote from my alltime favourite book "The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy". A story full of weird and hilarious absurdities in a sifi setting. And in there a giant computer is built to solve the ultimate question of the meaning of life, the universe and everything. After eons and eons the program is completed and the computer, named "Deep Thought" btw., has got the solution. The computer tells the decendents of its builders, who are eagerly waiting, that they probably won't like the answer. But they insist to hear it anyway so "Deep Thought" warns them again and then says that the answer is 42. Only to add that they haven't asked the right question in the first place. To give you another example of the absurdities in this book: "According to the Guide, the main thing that flying requires is the ability to throw yourself at the ground and miss. It says to throw yourself forward with all your weight and "the willingness not to mind that it's going to hurt", however it will surely hurt if you fail to miss the ground." That's why I like it so much and had to laugh at your "what's the meaning of life?" Sorry to have bothered you with that nonsense - but it is highly funny nonsense. At least to me it is...

Hi, nice video btw. The landlords are not always large corporations but often also people who have been persuaded by their banks to buy apartments and use the rent as old-age security. Unfortunately, many people ruined themselves with it! Through these interviews, one tries to get an impression of whether the future tenant can pay the rent and whether the apartment is respected and treated well. I myself have had two so-called rental nomads, people or families who move from one apartment to the next, do not pay rent and leave serious damage to the apartment. According to German tenancy law, such a tenant can only sue out of the apartment, which takes many months. Then you have to renovate the apartment in order to be able to rent it out again. This can quickly result in total damage of 20,000 euros or more. Another point in German tenancy law should also be unique: If a tenant is regularly very noisy or makes a lot of dirt and thus annoys other tenants, the disturbed tenants can reduce their rent! So the landlord is punished because his tenants are bad!

Wow ... now it totally makes sense why the house hunting process is so rigorous. still doesn't make the process any more pleasant to go through. I guess tenants are more protected here by law, than in our home countries. Cos in my country, if you do not pay your rent you get kicked out ASAP. Anyway, thanks for shedding some light on this for us 😊

Salad A salad is a salad is a salad, whether it is made with vegtables, crops, potatos, saucages or noodles 😉 Landlord One reason to interview face to face people who want to rent a flat is you have as a landlord low chances to throw bad renter out of the flat. It might be that they do not monthly pay for the flat, make a mess of the house or destroy the house. So it is better to have a look at them in forward. Nudity Nowadays the younger people are often more prude than the older. I guess it depends mostly on sexual harressment against nude women in some areas. Sorry to say it but during my youth especially turkish boys and men lay in the bushes around a bathing lake to spy on naked women with telescopes. Afterwards some women avoided bathing naked in the lake. These bad experiences with the bigoted members of muslims which called in town bad names to women which not behaved like they thought it would be right and then spyed on them hidden in bushes to "satisfy there lusts".
