This year it has been hard to me to decide 'cause there are issues of different parties convincing me but also things I don't agree with. So I've voted for the direct candidate of the SPD (social-democratic) and voted for the FDP (liberal). For the Berlin state parliament I've voted CDU (conservative) 'cause the current Berlin state government (social-democratic, green party, left-wing party) didn't solve the massive problem of the lack of apartments or at least didn't improved the situation.

If you think Armin Laschet is a competent leader you obviously don't know him. Angela Merkel has 2 faces, the one other countries see (foreign politics) and the 2nd Germans see (interior politics). The country has a decaying infrastructure, a lot of unsolved problems in the near future (for example the retirement system) and the digital infrastructure is worse than in countries like Bolivia. The last 8 years not really much happened in Germany, in this time Germany was just managed like a authority is managed, no necessary reforms have been done in this 8 years. Germany lagged behind in infrastructure after the 16 years of Helmut Kohl, and now again, 16 years are far too long for a single person to rule a country. Germany should limit the time being a chancellor to 8 years, like the US did with the president.

In my opinion, FDP should come to power(which won't happen) but at least they should be a part of the coalition. They have very good policies such as lowering the refugee intake, adopting point-based immigration system, lowering taxes, greater investment in education, improving infrastructure, promoting investments and liberalizing the economy. I guess Christian Lindner would be the perfect chancellor to fill Merkel's shoes.
