You are in your wheelhouse with this one Bobby. I’m all about the Guinand Starfighter Pilot 2 at the moment. I am less apprehensive about buying one after your stream the other night when you talked about import duties.

Hey, Bobby. Great list!! I’m a fan of many of these pieces and own a Sinn 356 and Hanhart 417 ES. A modern piece I’d also add here would be the Archimede Outdoor 41. It’s an insane value, starting around 1,300 Euro: 7750 Elabore, 200m WR, with a hardened Ickler case that’s only 13.8mm thick. On the neo-vintage side, I’m a big fan of Tutima, specifically their UTC FX Chronographs. Definitely check them out if you haven’t already.

Thanks for the info. I'll be sure to include the Archimede in a part 2 of this discussion!!!

Since when is a $1,000+ watch “affordable”? The average monthly rent in the US is $1,372, and I think that it’s fair to say that rent is probably most people’s single largest monthly expense. And it seems a bit of a stretch to say that a watch that costs more than your entire rent check is somehow “affordable”?

Come on, since when do we take Bobby Legs seriously? The man karate chops firewood to fuel his Tesla while feeding his family a parmigiana of shrimp and cave crickets. He still cannot pronounce Glashütte and obviously doesn’t have a single Teutonic bone in his body, (although his German pronunciation of “Phoenix” is uncanny). He hasn't even taken down his holiday tree. And his moods are as fickle as his audio output. "Affordable" is as relative as the terms luxury, high horology, and insurrection. Don’t spout off at him because you’re not reaping the benefits of the shareholder economy in this late-stage capitalist Bidenomic hellscape and paying an 8% mortgage rate like the rest of us winners.
