Ausgezeichnet wie immer. Sagt man normalerweise im Gespräch, "Er ist mir auf dem Weg gegagnen." oder "Er ging mir auf dem Weg?" Danke schön Jenny und frohes neues Jahr!

Might be interesting for you to know, but "auf dem Weg der Besserung" does actually translate literally into English. We say someone is "on the road to recovery". Thanks for the videos und schönes Wochenende!

Jennifer Im Video hast du gesagt ''Ich mag sie nicht und deswegen gehe ich ihr aus dem Weg''. Kann ich auch sagen ''Ich mag sie nicht und deswegen meide ich sie''. Ist der Zusammenhang die Gleiche?

Jenny, estas dos oraciones pueden ser usadas tanto en sentido figurado y literal? Por ejemplo: Du bist auf dem richtigen Weg. Meaning, you're on the right track oder it's used to say you're right. Is this correct? The same happens to this sentence: Du bist auf dem Holzweg. Meaning, either you're on the wrong track or you're wrong. It all depends on the context. Por favor rrespondame. Saludos desde Republica Dominicana.

"Holz" heißt "Wood"... Also, warum sollte ein "wooden track" ("Holzweg") ein "wrong track" sein ? :-)

Jack O' Lantern Auf Wiktionary, liest man: *Auf dem Holzweg sein* : "In Wäldern dienen manche Wege nur dem Abtransport des Holzes. Folgt man ihnen als Wanderer, erreicht man nicht sein gewünschtes Ziel.". Außerdem kannst du andere Erklärungen lesen, indem du auf Google "woher kommt Holzweg" oder "Holzweg" suchst.

Auf dem Weg zur Arbeit, wurde ich geblitzt. You translate it as "...I was caught speeding". Why do you put "wurde" instead of "war" for "was"? Do they mean the same somethimes?

This is passive voice so you have to use „wurde“. We have a bunch of videos coming up on passive voice, you’ll find it in my B2 playlist
