Not the only 'pasta song' by a german band. There was a band named 'Peiniger' (tormentor)from Dresden (if I remember correctly) saw them around 20 years ago. They were in the style of death metal but with rediculous lyrics. I had two records of them '666⁶-Mega Evil' and 'Superevil'. Songs about baking a cake and getting anoyed by a fruit fly and destroying the whole kitchen trying to kill it and the song about his vacation in Italy and getting a bad case of diareah which triggerd his hate for pasta. This stuff was funny as hell. Sadly I can't find the CDs anymore and I couldn't find a trace on the internet so far. If anyone knows something please let me know. This TBS song isn't my beer, like Electric Callboy its just not my type of music. But its nice to see that they get carried out into the world for a much bigger audience to see.

Do you know the German metal band for kids, Heavysaurus? The original is Finnish (Hevisaurus), OF COURSE, and there is also a Spanish version of the band (Heavysaurios). Didn't expect to see TBS on this channel :D They quickly became one of my fav bands after I discovered them last year. Went to one of their shows earlier this year with Samurai Pizza Cats, it was a smaller show, still the most fun I ever had at a concert! They're AMAZING live, I'd presonally put them slightly over electric callboy. Funfact about that show: One of their songs is about fanny packs, part of the lyrics in that song is (roughly translated) "you look so jealous with your backpack in the club". Someone actually brought a backpack into the pit just for this one song. Definetly can't wait for their next tour, already got my ticket! And maybe I'll also attend their heimspiel next year, it's not that far away after all.

Tank, with your understanding of German, I think you might really appreciate/like Knorkator. They are one of the German OG "not taking themselves seriously" metal bands. Most (if not all) band members have higher education degrees in classical music and their lyrics are some of the most intelligent ones in the game. Even though we live in Germany, we hadn't heard of the band before. The song has a few really good parts, even if the hip hop content was a little too high for our taste, German rap is not ours at all. More and more bands are learning that it's not so important to take themselves super seriously and that metal can also be combined with humor, which is a very positive development. One of the pioneers of metal bands that don't take themselves too seriously are Maximum The Hormone. If you don't know it yet, be sure to check out their remake of the song Shimi, which they did together with the band Atarashii Gakko. Clearly the best song and video of the year for us so far.
