I really love if someone explains those non text book slang for languages I learn. You are doing a great job here, Max.

Grammatically correct would be: Ich habe keinen Bock. (der Bock - Akk. den Bock -> keinen Bock). "Keinen" is phonetically shortened to "kein'n". Therefore, it sounds like "kein".
@philphil17812 күн бұрын
@salzlakritz8182 күн бұрын
@@philphil1781 Ja.

Not really the same meaning. "That's not my cup of tea" means "That's not really something I'm interested in, not something I want to do".
@ZenoDovahkiinКүн бұрын
Nope. It's more like the Polish "not my circus, not my monkeys", though also not exactly.

Do not agree : in a large part of Northern and Eastern Germany, 'Tschüss' is by fare more used than "Mach's gut' (I'm a native German-speaker). The linguistic boundary is probably the same as for 'gucken' vs. 'schauen'....

You can get great language audio input here on youtube with bilingual stories, they will read a sentence of a story in English then read the same sentence in target language (like German). Polyglot Beats on youtube does that well for multiple languages and there other channels for specific languages... its been helping me get passive listening and learning when going on walks... time is by FAR hardest obstacle in language learning - anything that can get us some passive learning is a plus!

Its good that you retained a good deal of German accent in your English, not this fake american accent... 😂 the best I could have done in my working time in Britain end of the nineties was to be confused for a scandinavian - in rare moments though.

Haha. 🎐🍻
