Love to see so many lagers being brewed in the brewtube space! They’re really hard to beat, especially in the summertime! Cheers Dennis 🍻

I've made a point to brew more this year. Did the Mexican lager, this German Pilsner, and have a Vienna Lager conditioning... So check back soon!! 🍻👍

well im off soon to making another pilsner. the long journey of waiting ive got some extras stashed in the freezer i need to use. weyermann pilsner malt and weyermann floor malted and a dash and a half of that. using magnum, hallertau, and spalt. never used spalt before so here goes nothing! also 34/70 the first time ever using it.

Love 34/70 yeast. It's a beast and does a great job. Sounds like a good recipe to me! Let me know how it turns out! 🍻

i can never catch it in the videol haha but for the escorbic acid do you add it in the main mash or... i rewatched the video again and i seen the escorbic acid addition. i guess lagering a beer for so long its a good idea.
@CityscapeBrewingАй бұрын
I add 4 g of ascorbic acid in the mash, after stirring in the grains, for most beers. It helps preservation and prevents oxidation. Does it matter if it's a lager or ale, but very important for a certain styles like hazy IPAs and West Coast IPAs that are very hoppy.
@paulschroeter4987Ай бұрын
@@CityscapeBrewing ok thank you. ill remember that. and yes i know about the hoppy ipa. ive done a few and more then enough times they get oxidized and brown. once i made an ipa and when it was time to drink i opened it up just to smell dead rotting fruit smell it was bad!!

I used 1 packet of yeast. You can see that at the 4:20 minute mark in the video! 👍🍻
