John and his backup singer Lisa Edwards sing a lovely song together called Angels. John is so funny at the beginning and then sings the song so beautifully with Lisa. It is certainly worth a listen.

Thanks again for another awesome reaction. You can tell how much John and Olivia respect each other and the chemistry is amazing. Their harmonies are great and John’s vocals are just on another level even at a older age he can still belt it out. Another good duet he does is in 2000 with his back up singer Lisa Edwards “angels” his vocals are phenomenal and you get to see the funny side of John kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5CVf32Ifsl1hZo

One of my personal favourites George. It would be a natural for this channel. He is the "Joker" for Joker Reactions. He jokes around and then bang, hits that Farnham high note. I don't know how Lisa manages to sing at the start.

@@doc6186 Years as his support singer. I love it when John takes her hand for reassurance in Angels. I'm always amazed how John can "switch on" and be totally in the moment seconds after playing around. No time to get ready is required.

If you wanna see the softer side of John look up “burn for you. It’s about him missing his wife and it has acoustic guitar with his amazing voice

The Little River Band was an Australian band that played generally middle of the road rock or yacht rock from the 70s to the 90s. They had a number of member changes through the years, including at one stage John Farnham as their lead vocalist after Glen Shorrock left. John had a few hits before, and definitely a few with LRB before his solo career really took off after he released You’re The Voice. LRB was famous for excellent vocal harmonies. I believe that Don Henley or Glenn Frey from Eagles said LRB had the best harmonies of any band except Eagles (typical of their sense of humour and also ego, but I believe it was him actually saying that LRB had the best harmonies around, it was just that he would never openly say some band was better than them). A few of their notable songs are Help Is On It’s Way, Reminiscing, and Lonesome Loser.

John Farnham Olivia N-J and the Bee gees among others, all were born in the uk, and grew up in Australia. The Bee Gees wrote some of the music for "Grease." Olivia has been through cancer treatment 4 times. John Farnham also did "Granada," around the same time as thus, if not the same evening, with Anthony Warlow, a trained australian opera singer, who also beat his cancer. That is well worth watching as well. John and Olivia were having hit songs around the same time, in their youth in Australia. It is a small world, smallish industry in oz.

Busily moving cars and people walking. Watching the cherry blossom trees on the side of the main road greet the early morning in a green atmosphere, I sit down with an old guitar in my arms and open my cell phone blankly. As the algorithm introduced, I just looked down and saw your video. Thank you to the algorithm that made me happy for a while. Feeling grateful for the small things that grow little by little, if you think of it as a backpacking trip to go far and far alone and keep walking step by step, I have a feeling of certainty and faith that your dreams will come true without me knowing. In the endless universe of KZbin, I am not lonely and I am so happy to be able to watch your videos by chance. I have a feeling that your KZbin will surely succeed. KZbin seems like a long-distance marathon. As you have worked hard for your dreams, I hope that your channel will gradually develop and become a very big channel. Outside the small but simple and beautiful cafe window, it is getting brighter in the dark blue atmosphere for a peaceful morning.

Thankyou for reacting to this beautiful song. It's nice to see John's softer side as well. John and Olivia have been close freinds since the 60's and it shows. To see a bit more of his versatility you could check out Grenada from the same show that he performs with Anthony Warlow. Operatic classic given the Farnsey treatment. Very comedic as well as a Very powerful vocal m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/innHqo1rqa-EeZI

Grenada is a classic. Anthony teaching John how to sing opera - you have to roll your Rs. A mixture of comedy skit and unbelievable singing by both.

I was at that concert and it was probably one of the best I’ve ever been too. It was called The Main Event and also featured the amazing Anthony Warlowe. The camaraderie between the three of them was really something special. You could see they were really having fun. John and Anthony singing Granada was one of my favourites. You might be able to check some of the concert out.

This song was a hit for John before he really took off in the 80s with You’re The Voice that gave him the huge following he has now. I love this performance. What professionals, singing live with an orchestra. Perfect. John and Olivia are a great friends and have performed and recorded together. John has a background in musicals too, so the theatrical side is there. This performance was part of The Main Event concert which featured John, Olivia and Anthony Warlow doing solos, duos or all three together. Absolutely fabulous concert.

Can somebody please call Amnesty International? This is torture! Just a joke! But this style is really a pain to my ears. Too much musical and soft pop for me. I think this is the first time I totally disagree with Tobi. And I am irritated about the comments that it is nice to hear Johns "softer side". Really? He had a "harder side"?? Comme on! Even during his time with the "Little River Band" he was more a crooner. Don't get me wrong: John has a fantastic voice, it's only that he fits more (and always did) into "ZDF-Fernsehgarten" than into Wacken. So please, if there is any need to react to more John Farnhame, please do with the "Little River Band" - this could be a way that I could survive :-)

Variety is the spice of life lol. U usually get a singer that sticks to one style. John is different. He sings rock, Jazz, Soul, Blues, Ballads etc etc, even a song about an ice-cream😂 He was pretty dam good singing and having fun singing opera with our Aussie Phantom of the Opera. Oh and of course he’s even sung Old McDonald Had a Farm. Sang with Tom Jones, Ray Charles, Celine Dion and more. People who enjoy John singing have been opened up to a wide variety of musical genres. You don’t have to like it, just saying some do. There is no right or wrong thank goodness to one’s musical preferences. I can listen to classical, opera to AC/DC. That’s the beauty of music, personal choices.
