I have heard that both John's wives (Jill Farnham & Kelly Preston/Travolta) laughed about their husbands love for Olivia and how they had to learn to live with it! lol! I met Olivia & spent about 2 hours chatting to her & Cliff Richard (another she had under her spell, lol) when I was 15yo- 51 years ago! I will never forget the incredible loving/caring glow that came from that beautiful soul! She relly was a living Angel! There is another one with John & her years later & the same chemistry is still there! So enjoyed your re-action! Thanks Hugs Debbie 🥰

John and Olivia were great friends for 55 years, since they were teenagers. In fact John was one of the last people she spoke to before she died. I think it might have even been the last phone call she ever took in fact. They did love each other, deeply, as far as I know, just friends.

I've been to many concerts in my time, and three that scream out at me were 'Classic Jack' (John's version of Help still brings tears to my eyes and to my heart), Live Aid (Freddy is still king), and AC/DC at the River Plate. I still remember meeting John during the January '94 bushfires. He came to where we were resting up and took the time to talk to all of us, shook our hands, and thanked us for fighting the fires. That is the type of guy John is, fair dinkum, friendly and all around 'mate'.

This was a solo from one of John’s albums. My daughter was in a singing competition and I didn’t know it was one of John’s until she introduced the song before the music started. She won and one Judge wrote on her paper work that she never liked John but after that song she was going home to listen to more of his music. My youngest is adopted and born with her musical gifts like John was. We never understood her love of music or who she would listen too but she is adored by us all. We had the same song blasting in our house for 6 months starting when she was 18 months old. It was Alice Coopers Poison, no one knows where she heard it. Some years later we were told she has perfect pitch hearing, so there were sounds in the music and even his voice that made her want to hear it. Olivia and John have always been wonderful together. They are also two great actors with big hearts. John says, Jilly gave him permission to kiss Olivia once a day for three months.

Once again, the best reactor Charlie. John and Olivia were friends for decades. The song was written by Graeham Goble, one of the founding members of The Little River Band. Was normally a solo which John performed at many concerts (some of which I was at). Seriously, if he you think he’s good live on recordings, can’t even describe what it was like being there. The gratitude he has for his fans is beyond amazing. He would do a show like the MSO concert in front of 40000 people, then come to my home town where the biggest auditorium held 2000 max, and give us EVERYTHING he had. And Mr Jimmy Barnes still lives in the area, so he turned up at one of John’s encores, and I got to see their duet standing 3 meters from the stage. The 80’s and 90’s were a great time for live music in Australia.

Thank you, Charlie, for your sincere and emotional response to the best duet caught on film. ONJ also does a fabulous tribute\duet of Tenterfield Saddler with an image of Peter Allen. She clearly studies her singing partners, and matches their singing style perfectly, whilst still retaining her own uniqueness. Whilst it's heartbreaking that we lost Livy, and John may never sing again, we can, at least, treasure the performances that we do have, and relive the concerts that we went to.
