In the advert I see Dutch words tijdelijk - temporarily so it must be a Dutch commercial poking fun at the French.

It could also be the Flemish Belgians because the Flemish part of Belgium speaks Dutch.

This video mistakenly claimed that McDonald's came to France in 1997, but the first one opened in 1972, in Creteil, France, and the second one opened in 1979 in Strasbourg, France. The narrator was talking about Strasbourg and mixed up the 7 and 9. It's common knowledge that McDonald's was already in almost every nation of the world by the 1980s. Also, there's a classic tragicomedy (tragedy-comedy) movie from 1988 (The Accidental Tourist with William Hurt and Geena Davis and Kathleen Turner) that shows a travel columnist writing a review on a McDonald's in Paris.

The difference between fast food in the U.S. vs Europe is staggering. The quality is so much better on your side of the Atlantic. Plus it looks like the pictures on the menu.

Adults should only eat fast-food in emergency situations, such as being stranded with a flat tire outside a McDonald's. The exceptions are the food at Rubio's and El Pollo Loco, which is delicious and healthy, and the food at Kentucky Fried Chicken, which is delicious, but is not healthy enough to eat very often. The food at all the other fast-food joints, including McDonald's, is repulsive. The French Fries at McDonald's taste good, but they contain artificial chemicals and are too oily.🍟

@@Mary_Thompson when I was in Berlin this summer, although I lived on the bread, Döner, and Currywurst, I tried the chicken strips at KFC and compared to here in the U.S. they looked and tasted sooooo much better. Also, all the packaging is light-years ahead of the U.S. as is recycling in general.

@@alyssawaywardAF Are the original recipe fried chicken and the gravy the same?

@@Mary_Thompson Hi. I only had the chicken strips, and again, they were amazing compared to home. I image those items would’ve been better, too.

@@alyssawaywardAF I just really like the flavor of the eleven secret herbs and spices in the original recipe crust and the gravy made from the cracklins from the cooking herbs and spices on the crust and chicken meat juices. I don't really care about anything but those herbs and spices.

When i was in Germany. I ordered something with mayonaise. Instead of getting it in to a plastic or ceramic cup. The cup was made as the same material as the soft ice cream cup. Wel done Germany. As both are bio degradeble. You can put them in the same bin.

In the fight against plastic McD in France decided to use more plastic, that makes sense...
@Mary_Thompson Жыл бұрын
Yeah, in America, McDonald's mostly uses thin cardboard (made of paper from trees), which is biodegradable, so McDonald's should use that in France.
@Random_user_8472 Жыл бұрын
In general McD in Europe uses the same cardboard, hardly any plastic anymore.
@Mary_Thompson Жыл бұрын
@@Random_user_8472 That makes more sense as the EU and France are trying to reduce the amount of plastic. McDonald's should also donate money to plant more trees.

@@Random_user_8472 I can't imagine chic, stylish French customers taking home that cheap, tacky, hideous plastic junk, washing it out, and using it to serve their guests at their dining tables instead of their fine Dresden China.

I mean, the fight is against single use plastics, not all plastics. So yeah, it does make sense.
