GERMAN SHEPHERD helps put a stop to trespassers. Confronting a trespasser to his face is the only way to stop them from trespassing. I have confronted many trespassers and it works for the most part. Do not allow trespassers to hurt you or your family. Trespassing should not be allowed. My German shepherd guard dog has stopped trespassers in their tracks before.

It's a mans job to protect and provide for his family, people need to shut up about the guns already, we own and carry, it's our right. We have people tresspassing about every day, mostly at night where they can hide and we can't see them. We have an investagator on our case and they are having trouble catching these people, (We know who they are but can't prove it so we can't take out a warrent unless we do) Our family has been dealing with this plus a lot of other things they are doing/stalking for a long time. Keep taking good care of your family and don't worry about the gun haters. God Bless

That's a nice-looking modern sporting rifle, what's the big deal? I've had people trespassing on my property and I see them come on my property and walk past my house which I was on 5 Acres and I got up and watched them and they're walking around checking out everything in my barn, looking for something to steal and I actually fired a warning shot at a guy trying to steel my lawnmower. I fired straight into the pole of the pole barn but it sure put the fear of God in him

You keep protecting those precious daughters. This is coming from a mother of one daughter and two sons. My daughter is an adult now but my husband and I still protect her. I had someone that followed me home and I called my husband to let him know that I felt like I was being followed and when I pulled in he pulled in right behind me but when he saw my husband coming out he pulled right back out. In today’s world you have to air on the side of precaution. I also believe in the right to carry guns. You have the right attitude and I believe you have the ability to know if someone is a threat to your family. Thank you for your service! God Bless!

Amen Dutch preach all you want... I'm 59 and my dad used to own a resort in the San Gabriel mountains, we had a restaurant, bar, camping, and fishing... One day while riding my horse and a man came up to me and and grabbed the reins and started out talking nice asking about my horse then he started talking about things I didn't understand. I somehow I knew it was wrong so I slid off my horse and ran and got my dad...I was ten years old and running up to my dad scared and crying, he was immediately upset and ran down to see this guy... Well it turned out the guy had just gotten released from a psych hospital... Lucky for him my dad's partner in the resort was there as my dad had a huge screwdriver in his hand because he was in the middle of fixing something when I went crying to him... This happened almost fifty years ago and do people honestly think thing are better now?

Semper Fi from my hubby. We just got our own property. I agree, people shouldn't just walk onto another person's property. My husband has gotten angry at people who just walk up without permission or called up from the road. We're close enough to the local road to hear someone yell up to the house. Plan to build a fence and gate after we can get a truck.

Thanks for your videos. I have a neighbor, 25 yr old old, lives within 1/2 mile, trespassed on my property constantly. Finally put in an alarm system in. Caught him on camera, lol.had a few words with him. He hasn't been back.

What drives me nuts is when I get strangers coming to my house, knock on the front door to see if I would sell my Crown Vic or Cadillac. They are not for sale. They are older models, yet people think they can come and see if I will sell them for a few hundred. I would never go to someone's home; ring the bell to see if they would sell their car, especially when there wasn't even a sign on the car(s). But people are somewhat more brazen then they use to be. This is what happens when you live in the suburbs. :-)

Oh hey my mother had this nice dodge 1979 wagon truck parked in her driveway and she loved that truck but anyhow anytime someone comes up and asked about the price to buy it she would tell them she wants a million bucks for that truck and they would stutter and mumble like I dont have that much and they just walk off..and jehovah witnesses or the mormons will come to our door she would answer the door with her gun in her hand and I tell ya those guys never came back..

I live alone myself, and if my dogs let me know that there is someone I don't know coming up to my house, I guarantee you that I WILL have a weapon in my hands. A rifle or pistol, and they ARE loaded. I take no chances. No one gets into my house on any pretense unless I see a real medical emergency. And another point, Dutch, from one who has been handling German Shepherds for years... Do not rely on your untrained pet dog as a protection or guard dog, please! Yes, GSDs have bred in natural tendencies to be protective.. they were bred as livestock guardian and herding dogs to begin with. They great for barking at anything suspicious and a lot of the time, that's enough to scare off most trespassers. But you get an experienced dog handler and they will make friends with Gabby in seconds. Untrained, she simply does not know what to do in situations that might be dangerous for you and family. My big Shepherd, whom I have trained as a service dog, won't lift a tooth to bite anything. He barks at home when there are strangers around the house, but out in public he ignores them because this is what he was trained to do. My girl, Kala, saved me from being robbed because she had a high prey drive and the smarts to see a threat. She has also had bite work training to know what to do. Just as you wouldn't try to protect yourself with an unloaded gun, don't try with an untrained dog. She may bark to let you know strangers are around, but she is just as likely to back off or run if she is pressured. Give her some ammunition in the form of some training, then you and your family will all have a trigger they can pull in the form of a command if they need it.

I agree with you! My youngest daughter was killed by someone that was a stranger to me - he was not a stranger to my family so I let my guard down - she was 6 years old. I agree with you 100%! Safety of the family comes first. Securing and protecting your animals and property is second, but no less important. I ALWAYS meet people coming on the property while armed. You never know what they are up to. Suggestion, put up a mailbox on a post by the entrance to your road and post a sign that people should deposit any solicitations in the mailbox, do not approach the house due to attack dogs. It works for my Uncle.

As a daughter of a good man, I understand, I have an older brother and sister as well. There were a few times when we were growing up when my dad would tell us to go inside or to get in the truck, he always watch if we were out and about. He kept us aware as well, our stranger danger radar was fine tuned. There were many times when we would be out doing things, whether it was taking down a barn/garage to rebuilt on our land or when my dad was surveying trees for a friend, when he would call out and we would heed him. Even when we were visiting family farms or at the park, if he or my mother hollered for us, we obeyed. My dad would be armed if we were in the back woods or on our own property, and I would feel so much safer when he was, for I knew he would protect us. I'm sure your daughters feel the same way about you. God Bless.

Dutch, you are totally right to call them trespassing. I would do the same if i could. But, we own a garage that is adjacent to our home and sometimes customers come to our house. I don't know all the customers so i have a CCP and keep my piece on me if my husband is not home and when we are working in the yard. I was washing my fish pond filters one day and tutned around to see the Fedx guy standing a foot behind me. Never go outside without my gun ever now. I'm 66 years old and i don't chances any more.

trespassing is not cool during christmass a guy was caseing my house so I got my Dad to drive around the block and sure enough if he was not coming out of my drive way so my brother asked him if he was looking for someone and when he was not looking we got his picture we called the police and they said they were not going to come out so I told my neighbor and he went and talked to the guy and the guy left the neighboorhood at which point we saw the guy walking down the highway the guy seemed stoned to me I did not want him lurking around there was no telling what he was up to

We come across elderly in nursing who are chatterboxes. We need to give them some grace with it. They are often isolated, family and relatives are busy working, kids, et cetera and need people to talk with, just for general mental health. Similarly, there is a 16 y/o KZbinr who is majorly into fish in TX. Occasionally he brings up how lonely and isolated he feels. Has his parents, grandmother, and 3 year old sister, who live with him; attends 2 hours of school a day, and flat out said that said youtube helps him feel less isolated. I totally get where Dutch is coming from, I’m glad he helped the cabinet maker; even if he didn’t realize what sounds like the extended chat was more alleviation of isolation than custom cabinets.

You are doing the right thing. No trespassing and keep out applies to everybody. There are people who think it doesn't mean them. Then there are the ones that don't care who are up to no good. Keep doing what you do. In younger days when I was at home raising our children, my husband always told me shoot first ask questions later. We lived in a rural area on a dead end road surrounded by woods. We also had two Rottweilers both males. One of them would eat up a stranger. People knew not to get out of the car unless my husband came outside to walk them in. Some of us understand so don't pay any attention to the negativity. Have a great week.
