An interesting side note as for "Die Ärzte": _Schrei nach Liebe_ merely reached #9 on the German single charts back in 1993. It hadn't reached the top spot before 2015.

This was Ace OF Base year, 2 no.1 singles, including the biggest song of the year, one #1 album, a top 5 single and a top 10 single. Everything they did sold alot at the time.

Münchener Freiheit - "Viel zu Weit" (16:10) was a fantastic Eurovision Entry. The Band is not an indie band normally but their entry was Germans' only "alternative" esc song interestingly till "taken by a stranger" by Lena. "Viel zu Weit" deserved not only all 12 points but also all the stars in the sky.
