Love the socket belts hang them off from my veto tech LC outside of the bag and not one has came off. Worth every penny. Also nice to see electrical store in the local area( upstate NY) are starting to hold Wera in inventory.

Just an FYI for those interested in the Hazet 810bh bit holder it is not made in Germany. That said, as he mentions it is very nice and securely holders bits.

FYI, they make special wrenches for coax F connectors. They’re T-handles that slip right over the cable so you can turn them in tight spaces. (And since they’re just bent sheet metal they don’t cost much.)

Ha! I just googled F connector tool and I see what you're talking about. I don't know why I never thought of that. Also I've never seen anyone use those. Thanks for the tip!

The sockets with the 11mm hex on top are also sold with the proto j61231/ Facom atcl.3.12pb/ Mac sbdr41sn(none of those have a ratchet for them but usag set does) and also tone has them in sets with a ratchet

The felo and the knipex and the wiha are made by Jokari these are just branded
@HunGredy

The Knipex and Felo wire strippers are both made by Jokari. I have the original Jokari version of the Felo one. They both go by the Secura type name, but different versions. Dont know if the Wiha one is Jokari as well because they dont have that design now.
@tookitogo
@tookitogo 4 жыл бұрын
HunGredy It seems to me that Jokari manufactures practically all of the plastic gun-style automatic and precision wire strippers sold by every tool brand in Europe, other than Weidmüller. I have the cheapest Jokari automatic stripper, and it works great (other than that I wish I’d gotten a slightly fancier model with an adjustable depth stop and blade depth adjustment, to allow for oddball wire with unusually thick or thin insulation).

The Wiha bit holder is a clic fix, it supposed to lock. Pull the clic fix forward then insert bit pull back the lock

I realized after uploading and watching it again this morning that I didn't give the Wiha bit holder its due credit. It is a nice bit holder. I had video of me locking in a nice PB Swiss bit to it, but for some reason ended up editing that part out.

I think German tool reviews did a review on the wera sockets and there was a lot of slop when attaching the sockets to the wera ratchet and other ratchets, I think the wera sockets are made in Taiwan, probably no difference than other sockets that are made in Taiwan as well....

Regarding the groove offset: I’ve been trying to find authoritative information about the two main (western) bit styles, the C 6.3 and E 6.3 (the former being the ones with no major groove, the latter the ones with the 9mm offset groove). Alas, I haven’t been able to find any free copies of the ISO (former DIN) standard, nor even any descriptions of why one would choose one over the other. :/
@bzeug
@bzeug 4 жыл бұрын
I have also been frustrated trying to find documentation on the various standards as it seems to require a purchase. I would rather spend my money on tools.

@bzeug what would you say which german brand makes best socketa and ratchets(hazet, wera, stahlwile, gedore, heyco...)?
@bzeug
@bzeug 4 ай бұрын
Not sure. I need to see and use more examples of those other brands. I can say that my limited use of KoKen sockets has impressed me more than my WERA sockets. But that is subjective.
