Much of the German Army in WWII still moved on foot or via horse-drawn wagons. View of horse-drawn wagons and trailers on the move. Long columns. .

Fun fact, unlike common belief. The Germans during the entire duration of the war actually relied horse-drawn wagons more then Trucks even as the Allied Power started to become more and more fully mechanized. The just did not have the capability to do so.

April 26, 2018---Thanks for the video as it's the first time I've seen the Germans using horses like this.

Note: Countries on Continental Europe were mostly reliant on Horses. The horses were the most important parts of the mechanized units within the military. Upon the breakout of the 2nd Word War around 1939, over millions of horses were mobilized by Germany for transportation and logistics. France and Belgium were partly mobilized and their mechanized units have Trucks, but it's numbers were overshadowed by horses. Over 8 millions horses were dead throughout the war that being caught by crossfire or by harsh weather and environment.
